i just dont think Rowe wil poll in enough games!
Hopkins showed last year it was about consistency, he polled in 8 of the 11 games (or was it 9)
i think O'Malley will take a couple of votes of him, and when rowe dominated one game basso made a ton not out which i dare say will get him the votes! mind u havnt glenelg lost outright twice this year??? icc first game and to plympton? that pretty much rules him out off those two games aswell

I guess u are right CK and when we played them he made 92 and took 3 but me and Fordy made 100's and Cookie took 5 wickets so he may get only 1 there.

thats it sarge!!!
he could very well struggle to get as many votes as everyone thinks. but also he could get three that game and get the nod in the other games, but im predicting him getting the one's and two's and very few 3's!!!
sheidwo v glenelg could be the difference between the srarge or rowe giving it a real shot this year

I would have thought making a 90 odd plus taking 3 wickets would clearly be more valuable than "just" a ton ........ Afterall they were 4 for 40 and did win the game :D

Traditionally the medal has been won by a fast bowler or allrounder so that counts McCormack out. Pritchard hasn't had enough standout games but then again might make up for that with the charity vote. Would love to see him win it !

My tip until round ten is Sampson from D.Rowe but think it is pretty close that a standout performance in round 11 could clinch it......... Dark Horse : M.Tonkes

just wondering how the association decides on which sides get relegated at the end of the season?? is it basically whoever finishes in the bottom 2 spots or does the previous few seasons get taken into account?

Generally it is only ever 1 team per season but that is depending on who is available to come up from section 2. In the past Keswicks b grade has won the section 2 flag which has meant no change to section 1. This year it looks as though Morphy Pks, unless something drastic happens, will make the GF and will be eliglible to be elevated to section 1. The only other team that are a slight chance to come up are Warradale but that looks unlikely. I don't think that previous years positions come into it, mainly due to Morphys being demoted last year, which IMO showed that despite being around the mark for a long time and having one poor year they were demoted ahead of Mitchell Pk who had been near the bottom of the ladder for a number of years.

Just a question to all, I know it is rather early but has anyone heard any rumours about any players switching clubs or moving comps etc?

Mitchell Pk may lose their boys from Mt Gambier. Possibly heading home. If that happens they may as well be in Sect 2.

Only a few years back Pressy made 4 tons in the season and didn't win the medal. Although, i do agree that anyone who makes 3 tons in a season is very deserving.
