Just looking at the bowling averages and considering Andy the Speedster Duncan has missed three games his figures are outstanding. Can not for the life of me see how Onkas are not in the four.

I know for sure that it's:

AEHCA vs Murraytowns at Kangarilla

Kangaroo Island vs Invitation XI at Morphett Vale

and if what I was told on Sunday is correct then it will also be:

Hills vs Great Southern at Flaggies

which leaves:

TVCA vs Southern at ?

Dunno where HQ is though, anyone...???

Thats a good team, also great to see a couple of the Ashbourne boys amongst it.

I think the bowling looks a bit thin in the pace department in particular. couple of ok spinners but being played on hard wickets wont help them. Batting regularly lets A@EHCA down in the Meyer sheild and i wouldn't be over confident with that list getting the job done. Having said that, they're probably the best performed of the guys available so we'll have to wait and see how it unfolds.

Anyone know who's playing who and where?

Agree with you jackpot batting looks good, but fast bowlers we are a bit light on. I know that mark Abbott was unavailable presuming taity is too? These two would definitely have made the best 11.

Certainly these blokes are very good players and worthy of selection but may not have been available. I agree the side selected is possibly a bit light on in the fast bowling and Taity, Abbott, or Goldy would have strengthened the team in that area. None the less, the selected team is a good one with quality players and should perform well.

Pretty sure Abbott is UNavailable.
Goldy after missing the first 4 matches through suspension has only played 3 matches this season, rounds 5 , 7 & 11. Has bowled very well in those 3 games but pretty hard to pick playing ONLY 3 games.
Steve Nettle unlucky unless unavailable.
Johnson would also walk into that team but has missed the last 2 matches with an ankle injury that has seen him ruled out.

TVCA comfortably beaten by Southern today. TVCA batted first, apparently were about 7/50 before reaching 118. Smith and Eichler with about 30 each. Southern got the runs with only two wickets down, using no more than half their overs.

A&EH batted first and made 8/200 beat Murray towns who made 150 approx. A&EH will play southern tomorrow and invitation side plays the hills in the other semi.

A&EH beat southern today to advance to the gf. Southern were bowled out in the last over for 160, A&EH made it 6 down in the 42nd over. Woodsides Dave wescombe top scoring with a run a ball 79. Gf tomorrow at old noarlunga oval A&EH v Hills, who apparently beat the invitation team easily today also. Gonna be a tough one for our boys vs the favourites let's hope they get up.

A&EHCA Rd 12 1 Dayer 45 overs per side

Wistow v Lobethal - Crucial game for both sides here. A win to Wistow would consolidate 3rd spot whilst a Loss for Lobethal would snuff out what ever little hope they still have of playing finals. Wistows batting has been ordinary most of the season with most of their Wins coming on the back of good consistent, disciplined bowling performances. Lobethal have become more competitive the longer the season has gone and are a chance if they can post a 1/2 reasonble score with the bat.
Tip - Wistow in a close one.

Ashbourne v Hahndorf - Hahndorf quite simply can NOT afford to slip up in this clash. A win to the Magpies here will go a long way to seeing them hold Strath off for a finals spot. With a fair bit of dampness around and cool weather the last day or 2, batsmen from both teams may find batting a tough task on the Ashbourne turf.
Tip - Hahndorf in another close one

Woodside v Strath - Woodside sit comfortably in 2nd spot on the ladder whilst Strath in 5th spot need to repeat their win from their 1st clash to stay in finals contention. Straths form has been all over the place this season and one feels whilst they are more than capable of playing finals, their inability to put forward consistent performances week in week out will ultimately see them fail in their quest. As for wether they can win this match ? Yes they can BUT ?
Tip - Woodside in another close one.

Lang Creek v Nairne - Well, these 2 teams couldn't be further apart on the ladder, Top v Bottom. After contesting last years Grand Final, the Creeks have had a wretched season with only 2 wins from 11 starts whist Nairne have only dropped the 1 game. Last time they met just b4 Christmas, the Creeks despite fielding a depleted team, had Nairne on the ropes and only by virtue of putting down several chances, allowed Nairne back into the game to sneek past the Creeks score 9 wickets down. This time the Creeks are due to have a pretty much full strength team and are more than capable of winning this, although their inability to post a half decent total may lead to their downfall although they will have plenty of batting ability on paper at least. Nairne have been on a good roll for about 5 years now and seem to have the ability to get over the line even when they arn't performing to their expectations so have to get the nod is this encounter. With nothing riding on the result of the match in regards to the premiership tabe, although the Creeks could move off the bottom, the most interest could rest with Goldys' ongoing battle with the Heinrich boys, His good mate Harrowfield and of course umpire Clive.
Tip - Nairne in another close one although the toss may have a signifigant bearing on the result as the pitch is still VERY damp with not a lot of drying weather forecast b4 the start of the match. In fact without some fine drying conditions in the morning, it may not go ahead.

Good round of cricket which is great for the comp at this time of year where all games could easily go either way.

Great preview Jackpot and agreed this is shaping up to be another good round of cricket.

My tips are;

Wistow with another tight bowling performance to defeat Lobethal.
Ashbourne to upset the Magpies at Bull Park on a 2 faced pitch.
Woodside with too much talent should knock off Strath
Nairne too good for the Creeks - Goldy to take 5 for and give Clive the sh1ts all day.

Will be very interesting to see if the creek v nairne game goes ahead as we have had a fair bit of rain the last two days. The a2 game scheduled at strath has been moved already pitch too wet. Makes it very hard to move games when other clubs take the spare grounds in your town! But having said that the strath pitch area did get watered a lot on Monday which hasn't helped. Let's hope it doesn't rain in morning as two a grade games could be abandoned!
Could be some west indies type scores if turf games go ahead. Or if your the creek that is there normal score. :D Sorry 'jackpot' has been true the last few weeks.
Strath definitely will need to upset Woodside again to stay in touch with the four. Gonna be a close finish to make the four.

Would you have really moved an A grade game to Strath High or the Primary School?

No you wouldn't if it was an a grade game but it's the a2s which is a very tight ladder 3rd to 6th are separated by 3 points. So not playing could be the difference between making finals or missing out. Hence why we have moved the game v barker to the primary school only oval available in comp. Mt barker high being used and mt barker footy oval too wet.
