I prefer the when beaten by a good ball to say to the bowler - no point bowling that to me as I aint good enough to get a an edge on it
generally didnt talk a lot when batting - why give someone ammo at you - especially fast bowlers as they are nutters in the first placeIsn't that correct LM

Yeah I often look back at how much of a knob I must've been on the field, hated conversing with the batsmen.
I do recall opening the bat against catchit and Willy Serle and played some classic slips drives on my way to 40 odd, the big fella had some choice words of advice for me. I love copping it when I bat because every run is a bonus run as far as I'm concerned and I love getting sconned by the ball, it makes me smile more.

This is good news for all local clubs.
It is good news if council make up their mind on how to do things. They have renovated the rooms at R & C and we are still not in there. The council would have spent 60k + and it’s just sitting there waiting for us to move in. We were meant to be in there at the start of the season but this is still not to be.
The council have done a great job. New Bar, Toilets, Showers, Air Con, Carpet the works. The reasons were not in there is because of legal paperwork and a few residents complaints. We have played cricket at Ridley for 10 years + and never once have we had any trouble with riff raff. The reasons for people’s concerns was years ago when it was a footy club things got out of hand but in the time we have been there not once have we had a problem. One thing that gets me is we could be paying rent and not relying on tax payers money while it sits there and does nothing.
Anyway that my whinge I just can’t wait to get in there. It will be nice to sit back and have a beer with our mates instead of drinking at the R&C Hotel.

Why is that? I honestly think Scott is one of the most gifted sportsmen going around, i watch him on the footy field and have also played cricket against him, and think to myself, if only i had half of his ability, unfortunately his attitude on and sometimes off the field is a disgrace, do you think as he matures he will improve his attitude?

I played against you, and on this day you wouldnt shut up, even with your bowling figures being 0 for 40 odd after your 8 overs, you then came out and got a 3rd ball duck. How can you still sledge walking off the field like that?

Very talented....that has never been questioned.
When in charge, he's confident, astute and tactically very good. The sooner he realises he needs to be the whole package on and off the ground he'd be one of the best captains you'll see. I think we're all waiting for the penny to drop for him.
