Fair enough boy's, good to see Pressy putting the team first.
But no comment on wether Robbie would have dec if he was in the same situation, any thoughts.
And no i'm not bagging Robbie, we are mates, i'm just not to sure he would have dec if it was him out there.

RM it turned out we only just had enough time to get the outright, especially wen we were 3/9 in the second dig!
Pressy is a team player, a clubman and definitely puts the team first before any individual honours! He has countless ton's to his name. The only time it would be any different i guess if someone was in the nineties and never scored an a grade ton, but IMO most if not all the WYC boys would prefer a chance at the outright.
Robbie would have done the exact same even if it was him, i have no doubt in that!we gave pressy one more over and he declined said the team is first and he was happy with 90 not out ... IMO i think it just shows how good pressy is and how important he is and has been to our club

The decision was in Pressys hands and he was happy to declare. We wanted outright points and people playing for individual milestones is not what we are about. As it turned out we had 23 overs to chase 93 which isn't a simple task, so we think we made the right decision for the team. We won outright so i think that proves that we did the right thing and Pressy can make a hundred this week. Who is to say it would've been 1 or 2 overs for him to get the runs, it may have taken him 6 or 7 that we don't think we had.

Any rundowns from the weekends action?

Plympton vs ICC (Sect 1)

Plympton batted first and got off to a flyer being around 0/30 off 7. 3 Quick wickets fell to put ICC on top. Plympton battled hard through Hocking (60ish), Pritchard (40ish) and Naismith (50ish) to post a competative 10/247. Best of the bowlers were Buttfield and Sampson, whilst ICC's fielders looked disinterested at times. With the Sharks' batting depth and skill, should be a cracking 2nd week.

AF did get JB 2nd ball i think LBW. haha i think friday night did not help JB's chances tho..

WYC declared at 6/314 and have north haven 3/77. We got to bowl 26 overs at North Haven, we declared after 46 overs...great effort by our boys very even efforts from our side yesterday!

very interesting to see glenelg ana have already beaten coro and sent em back in and have one wicket. if they win this outright they could move into the 4 if plympton fail to defend 240. Be very interesting to see people's thoughts on glenelg ana, but IMO they are one side who can cause some big problems come the end of the year i think.

Ramblers and Sheidow, very big game for both these sides. i would think next saturday is the do or die for sheidow. if they lose it they are in big trouble of making the 4...
