Bazza's right, we often struggle against North Haven. I think you're forgetting to count the 20/20 win though Bazza that the Ramblers had... surely that's gotta count? ;)

As for the 4 - as much as I'm biased towards the Ramblers making it - its by no means a certainty. Way too far out to be calling that with so few points in it and how poor our percentage is. Especially with how many outrights have occurred this year in comparison to previous years, not to mention how even much of the comp. is. WYC's percentage is almost considered extra points with how high it is.

If for argument's sake the Ramblers do make it, I'm still putting money on Sheidow Park to get the 4th spot. Having said that, Plympton and Keswick are both well in the hunt.

I reckon Glenelg and Westminster are too far back, but could well be proven wrong.

Plympton must be hurting from a couple of games that they could/should have won - the draw was a killer when they made 300 odd and the loss to Coromandel on the weekend was probably a bit of a shock to most of us. That's 8points they could have theoretically had. Yet they still sit 4th and are well and truly in it.

yeah roseboy it was a bad loss for us and full credit to coro who bowled and fielded well enough to get over the line. Doesn't help when one bloke doesnt show up either that always hurts. As for the Nth Haven game, We were pretty confident we could get the points that day so hopefully it doesnt hurt us to much in the long run. Just got to keep winning now although we come up agaisnt ICC sharks this week which will be tough.

Mal Condon from Sheidow Pk last night copped a two game suspension from the association so that will be a big blow for the Sheidow boys as they need to win pretty much all their remaining games and without him the task looks harder and harder.

Two games seems pretty harsh - that's a whole month out of cricket. Is this his first offence?

I think so. A person from Adelaide Cavs got 3 games with two of them being suspended for calling an umpire a f@#$en cheat and my understanding of Mal's offence was that he called the umpire a disgrace and said that he shouldn't expect to get paid for the job he had done, JB or Sarge could confirm that. It seems that there is a bit inconsistency there from the association, which is no surprise considering the 'tribunals' were heard at the same time from 2 teams of the executive committee.

i think 2 games is a lot. i was very suprised to hear mal got 2 i thought he might get off. as said by bayboy 2day there r much worse incidents happening in the lower grades quite often (eg woodcroft) which seem 2 result in no suspensions...had mal done that in a lower grade he wooda got off but the neutral umpire means its not one clubs word aganst another....once agan i think 2 games is alot but im interested in what the plympton boys think of a 2 game ban for mal?

That would have to go down as one of the best finishes of all time if that's accurate. Incredible chase - well played ANA.

Pope bats at 8? O'Malley at 11? Bloody handy cricketers that late in the order!

Yep Pope always makes runs against us and O'Malley is no mug with the bat either. It would have been great to see that final overs of that game.

i was there it wasnt that great boys....for most of us one of the most disapointing cricket days of our careers....their lower order batted rly well we didnt do much wrong in all honesty

from a player in that match! Sheidow pk 5/165 with 15 overs to go al out for 168 with camo stranded on 85 no. Very disappointing day but came out the next week and had em 4/4 shouldve bowled em out but pope scratched away didnt play many shots made a few runs of the spinners late but aint much chop! SP will hopefully bounce back with camo on fire and tabart back in....bc lookin fine in 09

I think that is a very dissapointing outcome, considering these type of situations would occur EVERY week in at least one section and how many times do u hear of suspensions? gota say i feel for the bloke, we all know how angry umpires make us at times and to be slapped with a 2 match ban for a comment which did not even have the big 'C' word (cheat not the other c word) in it is very harsh IMO!!!!!!!!! I think maybe a 1 or 2 game suspended sentence would have been a bit more appropriate!

What an absolute joke! Mal Condon is one of the fairest blokes i have met on the cricket field, he has been made a scapegoat and an example. In the heat of the battle things are said but the umpire in question should know what it is like to be in Mal position, its not like he was threatening him personally. I played in one game and a one of my players life and the lives of his family were threaten (bay boy knows who it is) and he was given a slap on the wrist.

i didnt write that
ive hung up the keyboard until we actually win a game again, and 3 out maybe 4 out of the side this week makes things hard against ramblers, especially 2 of the players are condon and harvey.... F**K

Some hard times down at sheidow, somethin that there probably not used to with the winning culture they've had for the last couple of years!!
IMO i think mal should not have been suspended for 2 games. In round 2 a bloke from sheidow (not condon) was telling the umpire the same thing after the game but nothing happened, he was saying it in a joking manner after the game but still pretty similar circumstances and ithink that shows the inconsistency throughout the comp.
However, i think no matter who or when it was, the first report was going to result in a suspension as they are crackin down on such things and needed a scapegoat.
Good luck too all sides this week, this week IMO will show where all teams are at and could end up deciding the top 4, with plympton a possibility of dropping back a bit or holding the position in the 4, and the ramblers needing a win to keep there top 2aspirations alive.

I noticed while looking at the results that WYC dec there first innings with Pressy 90 not out, surely 1 maybe 2 more overs weren't going to hurt so he could at least get his 100.
Would have Robbie dec if he was on 90, i think not.

Your kidding aren't you  . The decision was in Pressys hands and he was happy to declare. We wanted outright points and people playing for individual milestones is not what we are about. As it turned out we had 23 overs to chase 93 which isn't a simple task, so we think we made the right decision for the team. We won outright so i think that proves that we did the right thing and Pressy can make a hundred this week. Who is to say it would've been 1 or 2 overs for him to get the runs, it may have taken him 6 or 7 that we don't think we had.

A very silly comment RM, considering you obviously did not read the final outcome (us winning outright). The circumstances you were obviously not familiar with. As bloods said the decision was in pressys hands and him being a team player decided the best thing for the team was to call them in and have another bowl. :D
