Special mention to the skipper coming off a King Pair who smashed a full toss just behind the keeper to make his first run.

Jon Smith is now leading the runs for the carnival.
Shaun Holland 3rd in the wickets with Paul Wright up there as well. Also got Tyson Roling on 6 wickets? But i suspect a mistake.

Matty Sandford & Jon Smith 127 run 2nd wicket partnership.
Jon Smith & Ash MacDonald 100 run 3rd wicket partnership.

If the lads keep going the way they have the past couple of days, not only will they do better than the last carnival, be a huge chance of winning it but i think we will see a group of them fighting it out for AA caps.

And to add salt to the wound results didn't go our way in the other games today so with us being 2 and 2 we can not win the championship as NSWb and Western are both on 3 and 1 and play each other tomorrow :(

Let's just hope we re-group tomorrow and get a win up against QLD to finish on a high note!

(hope goatie doesnt bite my head off for this) but considering the young side, the fact we got smashed by Para districts only a few weeks ago, and the fact im not there to make you guys look beautiful i think a 3-2 result is a fair effort.

I agree, especially after the 1st days results. Perhaps GH should start looking towards next carnival, with blokes like Hollywood, Superbad, Pidgecrap, Wrighty, Gully all getting great experience this carny it forms a solid core group for the next one.

Few of the boys should be pumped and firing tomorrow, i would say All Australian selection is wide open with several blokes vying for a cap.
