Despite the Creeks only making 73, it did appear that the Creeks would still win easily after having Strath 5/13 but after dropping Ben Cousins with the score on 15, Creeks lost their momentum as Cousins B and Abbott Mark took Strath to victory with out further loss.

Just about all competitions are not even and many are not fair as well, an example is the AFL with their rigged draw which is biased towards making money rather than fairness.

So what things are NOT fair ?

I think the 'A' grade comp is a hell of a lot fairer than last year in regards to the Draw.

Some teams in the lower grades are certainly disadvantaged by some clubs' No. 3 sides playing other clubs No 1 sides which often contain some very well credentialed players that should be playing at a higher level but whats the answer?

Yes they do, the Creeks should know all about that from their last 4 matcheswhere dropped catches have been very costly.

Making a few more runs would help as well.

I think next year it might sort itself out, good to see Woodside and Lobby come in and mix it up,dont have any real answers to fixing it but maybe some clubs should look at which grades they nominate teams in,well we all know the AFL is uneven, must play each other twice for the AFL to be even-home and away games.

We (Lenswood) were no match for Meadows. The visitors won by 9 wickets. Having half a team out didn't help our cause, but to be honest it wouldn't have changed the result much. Good experience none the less despite the poor peformance.

Strathalbyn just got over the line v Scott creek. Strath made 158 and Scott creek made 155 needing 16 in the last over made a good fight of it towards the end by all reports. Strath changed up there batting order and opened up with keeper Luke cousins who top scored with 48.
When is the next round of courier cup games?

Uraidla, at their home ground, won the toss and stuck the Warriors in  (something about getting the fielding out of the way early...)

Woodside 5/238 - J Marshall 50odd, M Johnston 60*, S Hahesy 72*. R Hunter 1/8(8)

Uraidla, who opened with R Hunter (out 2nd ball of the innings) and D Brown (out 4th over), finally bowled out for 130ish. Should've been sooner but for Woodside dropping 7-8 catches (including 3 absolute sitters).
On a side note, I do feel really bad for the poor Uraidla bloke who got out last off of MY TERRIBLE bowling figures of 1/6 (.4) = Wide, Wide, Wide, 1(dropped catch on boundary), Wide, Dot ball (Landed off the pitch but wasn't called a Wide!!!), 1, Wicket (caught on boundary).... #-o

For the Semi's I reckon the Courier will go with
- Woodside vs Meadows
- Strath vs Nairne.

Do you think that because you think the Courier would like the 2 reigning premiers and considered to be the 2 best sides to play off in the Final?

Would it be their discretion or would there be a formula to work it on eg. run rates ?

I'd reason its the 2 reigning premiers and best teams in their comps...
Run rates from qualifying rounds are used in wash/heat out - but unsure of any formula used to match up opponents in the Semi's?

Silverfox, I'm guessing that "The wRath" must be unavailable for this weekend...???

I think the bowling looks a bit thin in the pace department in particular. couple of ok spinners but being played on hard wickets wont help them. Batting regularly lets A@EHCA down in the Meyer sheild and i wouldn't be over confident with that list getting the job done. Having said that, they're probably the best performed of the guys available so we'll have to wait and see how it unfolds.

Anyone know who's playing who and where?
