Very interesting last couple of games of the year with Kapunda and Gilbert Valley fighting it out for relagation and the battle for the final four seems very tight as well, with three sides all having a crack at the last two spots. big game this week for Ango and Nuri.

Yeah would have to agree James07. Very even comp this year with any side being able to beat anyone on their day. Freeling would be the only side that is playing the year out. Otherwise there are some cracker battles happening throughout, GV v Kap for relegation, Nuri, Ango & Tan fighting it out for the the last 2 finals spot and SC v Gaw Cent for top spot, always good to finish top then gauranteed the win if weather effects the finals matches (not that most of us would want to win that way but better winning it than losing that way). This weeks games are all crackers, SC v Gaw C, Nuri v Ango, Gil Val v Tan and Fre v Kap all can go either way and then the final round SC v Ango, Gaw C v Gil Val, Kap v Nuri and Fre v Tan again anyones game. Bring on the next couple of games cause it is hotting up.

Kapunda could well and truely be on their way down next year. Kapunda all out for 105 against Freeling, with Freeling 3/63 at stumps. Can't see the Redlegs faultering again!

sandy creek v gilbert valley @ williamstown
angaston v freeling @ angaston
nuri v gawler central @ nuri
tanunda v kapunda @ tanunda

sandy should get their 1st win in the new comp, gilbert valley always slow starters unless vandy has a day on
freeling over angaston, angaston have quite a few out with a wedding
nuri over central easy
kapunda to smash tanunda in last years grand final rematch. tanunda have lost quite a few players, boh will need to make 1500 this year if they are to go any good

any predictions for the season?
kapunda
nuri
sandy creek
gilbert valley
angaston
freeling
gaw central
tanunda
looks to be wide open kapunda the stand out and other 7 could finish anywhere from 2nd to 8th

Just looking through past posts and saw this one, the comp is definitely wide open and definitely the surprise being Kapunda almost in relegation zone. Will be an interesting last round of the year with sides playing eachother for finals spots. I suggest Ango will be pretty fired up to head to Sandy and knock them off before finals and get one back on them for the one day grand final.

Will be interesting to see how the pitch comes up, im personally surprised that we will be playing on it, i would think that it will be pretty low and slow but only time will tell, will be one of the nicest grounds to play on next year though with a fair bit of work going on on the oval and obviously getting the pitch up and running 100%.

what a last round of cricket coming up with finals and relegation still undecided there will be plenty of messages at 6:30pm on sat to check scores.

Tanunda should sneak into the final spot.

But Relegation will be a cracker with Gilbert Valley (vs Gawler cent) and Kapunda ( Vs Nuri) still fighting it out and even a possiblity of Ango falling into the twilight zone of relegation.

Best of luck lads

u can add tanunda to the list of possible sides to get relegated, could drop from 4th to 7th. all sides from 4th to 7th can make the finals and also get relegated, one team is going to be very stiff and definitely wont deserve to go down to the reserves

had a close look at the new deck at the creek, is looking more and more like a pitch everyday will be very exciting for the guys to finally get back out on our home ground.

on another note, thankyou to the miserable piece of pubic lint who decided to play smash up derbys with our fence and do burnouts all over the oval (and pitch - but luckily is ok) in a stolen car. hope you get the book chucked at you champ

Was up there last Friday for work and had a look, oval looks in good condition.

How many pitches have gone in, looks like 3 which could make for some small boundarys if the outer pitch is used.

Yeah three in there so yeah when the outer pitch is used will be interesting to see how the shorter boundary will go. i bet there will be a few guys getting out trying to put the ball over it, me included probably

Tips for finals this week:

Sandy Creek vs Tanunda @ Kapunda
Nuriootpa vs Gawler Central @ Tanunda

Two cracking games, Sandy havent beaten Tanunda yet this year so it should be a cracking game

game in the balance but favour the cockies
sc 209 norm 64 tanunda 1/19, its a score that Wall can get so i guess james07 wont be sleeping that well 2nite

nuri 70 runs in front of central 8 wickets down with play to continue tomorrow. gods knows why, central would need one of the great mans miracles to get up from there

havnt heard any A1 res scores

A2 ango 9/236 will be more than enough against light pass
sandy creek need bout another 10 runs 4 wickets down to beat central

sandy by 3 runs, would expect them to go on now and smash nuri at stockwell
nuri were dismissed early today about 100 in front of central, central then went out and smashed 190 off 24 overs leaving themselves 90 odd runs to play with and 33 overs to bowl nuri out. had them 4/17 off 13 overs at one stage but then a couple dropped catches saw nuri see out the day

light pass vs greenock in A1 Res @ nuri
a2 angaston vs sandy creek @ tanunda
a3 gilbert valley vs tanunda @ kapunda
a4 freeling vs truro @ eudunda
a5 tanunda black vs angaston @ angaston
