Great declaration by the skipper. ;)

Nothing to lose from it even if we don't win, but chance to potentially snag 2nd spot. Good aggressive move.

Good luck mate... And by good luck I mean I hope a very isolated rain cloud forms over RC oval and dumps hours and hours worth of rain on the pitch. ;)

Cauchi did get a good start for your 2's, but were rolled for 185 I think, game really is a piss take, Rosie's depleted and smithfield depleted, both sides looking forward for the season to end!

ccc 9/289 against S.W in grade 4. K.Gray equaling our clubs highest individual senior score with 167. was an absolute honor to watch Kenny, who is one of the nicest bloke you'll ever meet, knock the S.W bowlers around. Grahaml, hope your boys didn't get stuck into the young fella that dropped him on 14 too much ;)

Why? Even when we catch them it gets given not out. Your club has been over the years the stand out for me with being honest with umpiring the game honestly. Today a sad day for Craigmore. When fine leg, mid on, mid off, cover, midwicket and everyone else hear it you know it's not a feather. Could have at least come up with something better than heard nothing. Tell us he hit the ground at least.

GrahamL...... Heres one for discussion after yesterdays effort...

15. Bowler attempting to run out non-striker before delivery
The bowler is permitted, before entering his delivery stride, to attempt to run out the non-striker. Whether the attempt is successful or not, the ball shall not count as one of the over.
If the bowler fails in an attempt to run out the non-striker, the umpire shall call and signal Dead ball as soon possible.

Law 23 (Dead ball)
(ix) the ball does not leave the bowler’s hand for any reason other than an attempt to run out the non-striker before entering his delivery stride.

found here: http://www.lords.org/laws-and-spirit/la ... 68,AR.html

My understanding of this is that as your bowler didnt attempt to run out the non-striker before entering his delivery stride that the ball is deamed to be 'dead' and therfor he cannot then turn around and attempt to run him out...

GR8 DAY YESTERDAY IN GRADE 7 at salis nth watching the likes of Obrien, oxford, debrenne, carpo, demeo, gg, and Wilson mix in with a few of our normal players 2 win a pretty high standard of cricket match. was gr8 2 watch a few of the boys off the field 2 as a few others attended but didn't play kept the other boys well hydrated :) with a special hall of fame trophy presented 2 morris McIntyre in the tea break.
not much positive ever gets said bout our club but yesterday was 1 4 the ages and its something we hope can continue on in the future and would encourage other clubs 2 get involved in or join us in in the future.

Craigmore definately made 221 for 9 in grade yesterday in grade 1, we will take the 280ish if you want to give us the extra 60, could be a very handy bonus we may need to avoid relegation.

Rumour has it B. Fuller ruled OTH players out to save them for their assault on the Grade 1 finals series, and seen R&C as a threat so picked half their side to hopefully burn them out :P
