still here port im just keen to let the grand finalists have their media bans and wait till after it is finished to comment. feel bad the goat herder. dont know first hand but have herd that he puts in a lot of time and effort and to pull the funding for the trip is a poor thing to do. if it was me in charge and i might run for office i would increase the touring party to 20 with spare players incase the bowlers break down or the batters get hangovers. might need a trainer as well or water boy as well. enjoy your weeks off ill enjoy mine keep on truckin vista for premiers.

I still remember ...heated out two sats in a row with no reserve day
but thats cricket.....

yes bored.....got me!!! You all have me to thank for reserve days. One day someone will reward me!!
Just on that note ----the exec still havent changed the wording of the rules!!!! If both days are washed/heated out - then it is abondonded, for which there is nothing STILL in the rules. I stand firm your honor

any ideas on adjusted total bored??? im really curious how this is to be calculated.

from all weather reports, this is a likely event. It would be germane for all to come to game prepared for this.

There isn't anything I'm aware of regarding a Duckworth Lewis style run chase adjustment. Seeing as last week finished up around 5:30pm and it's daylight saving, not even the West Indian teams of the late 80's/early 90's could bowl 65 overs that slow.. :P

PS; Tuna sounds like the go mate! You need only call & I'll be there... ;)

actaully i will go one step further and suggest that the "scorebook" become an "iPad".
Would stop all the errors in tallying totals. Could be directly uploaded into mycricket. Save time and stoopid arguments.

new exec could consider as standard issue - how progressive wold that be huh?

i can hear it now ......we have no money!! Might get a carbon credit on them....might be cheaper.

I think it is a few more years before the technology becomes reliable enough to use regularly, but I would be surprised if the standard scorebooks are still the preferred method in 10 years time.

All A grades in Grade cricket score via computer these days and most B grades do these days as well. Some are even uploading live scores to the internet

Would be interesting to see if a tablet computer would have enough juice to last a day of cricket with out charging the battery

All this talk of technology makes me sick. back in my day we used the abacus brought into this country by the early chinese settlers searching for gold and a piece of the good life. they also bought dim sims bless there souls. the point im trying to make is it costs way too much coin to outfit a side with ipads when paper and pen will do the job. toot toot.

I think it was 3 years ago we were minor premiers then won the grand final without playing a game!

Betania forfeited against us in the semi then in the GF both weeks we lost to weather so the game against NEK never went ahead.

So if it comes down to weather it would be my understanding that Rose Park would win as minor premier

a clear cut ruling, Rose Park win due to finishing higher on the ladder.

Only be a matter of time before Holland got sick of playing with 8 players each week. Coaching footy at units, natural progression to cricket there. Even more likely if goat herder doesnt get reinstated as coach of the touring party.

No chance of Dutchy leaving the Church comp while there is a carnival coming up. Weather or not he is at Paralowie is another story.
Ill think you will find a couple of the guys may end up at Rose Park.
I wish I was as good a cricketer as what Phantom tells me he is
