Pretty sure Sunday is a stand by day, pretty funny since they don't play and other game or final on a Sunday.

What would happen if 4 or 5 of your blokes have to work on Sunday?

Do u lose on forfeit or anything?

heres an interestign scenario ------rains for the first hour , game called off for the day? yes -play sunday

heres another - rain affected day ....how on earth will new totals be set. How may overs constitute a "days play" ?? How is this factored into account if the day is interrupted in its entierty ?? Will it be as simple as comparing totals after respective overs????

What is RP made a fly of runs right at the end from overs 50-65 ??? perhaps these will not be taken into account.

Anything in the rules?

Surely if both days are washed out for what ever reason, the top team wins?
Same if it was too hot?

Who knows! Do you just keep playing each week until the wickets are taken or the runs are scored lol

ooooh thats just baiting BB

if it is washed out, RP win as they were higher than us in the minor rounds, simple as that. Thats why we have the minor rounds isnt it?

RP did put on a lot of runs a the end of the day and were slow early on, as they would knowing they had 65 overs to play. would be interesting to see what happens, but fingers crossed we just get a full days play in and we get a result without any delays from rain.

yes bored.....got me!!! You all have me to thank for reserve days. One day someone will reward me!!
Just on that note ----the exec still havent changed the wording of the rules!!!! If both days are washed/heated out - then it is abondonded, for which there is nothing STILL in the rules. I stand firm your honor

any ideas on adjusted total bored??? im really curious how this is to be calculated.

from all weather reports, this is a likely event. It would be germane for all to come to game prepared for this.

There isn't anything I'm aware of regarding a Duckworth Lewis style run chase adjustment. Seeing as last week finished up around 5:30pm and it's daylight saving, not even the West Indian teams of the late 80's/early 90's could bowl 65 overs that slow.. :P

PS; Tuna sounds like the go mate! You need only call & I'll be there... ;)

2nd - WTF @ GH. Mate, lets go Tuna fishing. Got my TLD20 spooled with 50lb braid and ready to go. Big Al awaits.

WHO IS SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING MOVING COMPS???? enough is enough - surely. what are we all waiting for. show of hands please. time to go into the hands of the administrators...............

My suggestion - commence talks with Suburban NOW for a 2014/15 start. There could be a "central section" where we could all play, and some of the central teams in Suburban may find this attractive - rather than travelling miles south every week. It will add some spice to Suburban also.

Thoughts ????

Would be interested for any Suburban feedback.

My 2c.

sounds good in theory but some churches teams are closer to para districts. i propose a break away competition like a churches super league. new executive. new direction. new teams.

Why don't you guys just take over your current comp or vote in those who are pro-active, you'll only drag across the same problems and it wouldn't be as easy as it sounds.
Unfortunately if your comp turns to shit there would be no way that any other association would take you on as a whole, ASCA wouldn't cater for your travel concerns considering the distance that North Haven travel for some games.
PDCA delegates wouldn't vote all teams in, Fitzroy would be the furtherest south that would come under consideration, even still I'd imagine some clubs not wanting to travel that far.

We all live out this way anyways so the travel wont worry us.

Yep....the central conference could play the southern conference in the SUPER BOWL.

Change of Presidency next season is a positive start. Between that and the forming of a sub-committee of "do'ers" to address the ailing state of our comp, I think you'll start to see more hands-on people move to challenge for positions on the Executive. That can only be a good thing for the Association. Whether it's a case of shutting the door after the horse has bolted, time will tell. ;)

The Elizabeth and beyond based clubs is who I'm referring to, many of these use plenty of junior players who play til around 11:45am. Many senior players also coach juniors, travel time would be a contributing factor, I'm sure most would welcome new clubs and a chance to see our comp expand.

No, there was plenty of idea's getting thrown around and possible replacements but when push came to shove not a lot happened.

Any news is good news as far as I'm concerned with your comp, it means some wheels of change are turning.

I think it was 3 years ago we were minor premiers then won the grand final without playing a game!

Betania forfeited against us in the semi then in the GF both weeks we lost to weather so the game against NEK never went ahead.

So if it comes down to weather it would be my understanding that Rose Park would win as minor premier

Plenty of teams in PDCA would welcome some capable players in the north.
Message me and leave your details and I can point you in the right direction ;)
