Rosies are too old to worry about that stuff, now if Gene Pitney or Patsy Cline decided to visit Adelaide over the next couple of weeks we may have to consider a forfeit.

And before Graham jumps on me yes I realise Pitney is dead.

Top two playing off though in what will probably be the preview to the Grand Final.

haha, graham not that old is he ? maybe neil diamond or roy orbison...

Not sure if anyone here is interested or not, but Westies are holding a testimonial dinner for Adrian Griguol this Saturday. Tickets are $20 which includes dinner and can be bought at the door, but please PM me if you're coming so we can cater properly. Looking to kick things off around 7:30 and we're asking for shirts and slacks but understand with cricket not everyone will be able to adhere to that but just try to keep yourselves presentable.

Thought Neil was the pink of the 2 today.

Keeper dropped a sitter when p. Niel was about 20. Costly

Who was keeping, seeing as trav isn't playing! Only other player I've seen keep for ccc is Hewitt and he's their only bowler!!

On another hand what's people's opinions on the McKenzie medal???
Dave Ritzema for me, quality cricketer!

Yeh al hewitt bowled first up for about a seven over spell. Then took the gloves for the rest of the day.

And yeh probably ritzema will take out the mckenzie with troy scott a close second. Troy missed this game due to suspension which probably tipped the scales in ritzemas favour i reckon

So you can still win the medal even if you've been suspended?

definately interested. Carly mentioned it to me on the weekend, im very dissapointed i will not be able to make it, Griggs has been a fantastic servant to the SWCC and PDCA , he has been a very respected opponent for many years. im sure it will be a fantastic night for many westies old boys, i wish him all the best and well deserved for his testimonial , personally and on behalf of the CUCC.

Agree a true LEGEND of the PDCA, would be a hall of famer if there ever was one.

Played my first senior game on the small SW oval against him and he quickly became my first senior wicket!!

Was still keeping then and i expected to cop a barrage from him in what was a fairly heated game but nope he was all class and was the first to come up to me and shake my hand when i got out. Which as a 14 year old i respected greatly.

Ace wasn't ever much of a sledger from what I've seen and heard. Not really his nature and he had other blokes who got into it a bit more anyway. Always happy to have a beer with blokes and a laugh about things, good or bad.

Would be happy to see you down there. We're trying to bring back some old faces to tell a couple of tales from years gone by so if any opponents want to join in, I've no issue, so long as it's interesting and respectful.

Going to be hard to convince the old man to give up the deck chair and esky at the A grade to stand in the field all day.

I'd heard about that game. Would be great if they got it off the ground but I was hearing it was unlikely to actually end up happening.

Would tend to agree with you on this one Oz. Always loved a chat.
