Might have been a different game if Aldgate had held their catches. if the held tarques catch meadows would have been 4 for 50 and would have had to play in a completley different fashion. That's cricket though.

Saying that Meadows were the better team on the day.

yea agreed...good win by bridgy on the week end. Although seems like the bulk of the work is being done by 2 or 3 of the more Senior players in the team. Not sure how far they can go with luke, jj and sweety doing everything???

Thats a solid Myer Shield squad, there will be a bit of pace at that training session.Yeah browny was already on a warning from last week, as was Sinkers, unfortunately the ball slipped out in his 2nd over and that was it for him.

28 Players in a Squad training in November on Sunday Mornings for a Shield to be Held on a January Long Weekend!?!?!? WTF?? Didn't some moron post that Torrens Valley take the Meyer shield more seriously than Hills and that's why they're more successful?? Torrens Valley training for Last Years Winning Meyer Shield included 11 blokes having a hit at the Birdwood nets on the Wednesday before the tournament, followed by a session at the Birdwood Pub!!

Well if Hills are training in Movember we might as well put Hills on the Meyer shield for 2009 already. They deserve it

WOW what an awesome squad, i dont think the other associations are going to know whats hit them (LOOK OUT) . The batting line up is solid, but the bowling line is impressive, i would very much doubt if any side will make over 180 against them. If all make themselves available that is??????????????

Perhaps you can keep our blindfolds on next year, but take the bell out of the ball. That'll help ya! It was actually KJR that quoted that Hills didn't take the comp seriously enough last year. Perhaps he has taken over the reigns as Super Coach, and made them a much more serious unit.

I dont think they did take it serious and were beaten on day one by a team with experienced cricketers.. Hills got a bit far ahead of themselves last year and lets hope the same doesnt happen with the squad named above. No mate, nothing to do with Hills this unfortunately KI would be a good trip!! Terry Rankin did it last year and would assume he got the job again... If my memory of the scorecard serves me right you were only one Hills could get out

Well KJR, I've got wind of Torrens Valley's tactics for Hills at next year's carnival. They aren't going to train, but during the tournament, Torrens Valley will send Nick 'Slim' Johns to drink with the Hills Blokes before each game. Beer for Beer, UDL for UDL. This will bring upon Hills downfall, and they will perhaps need a bigger squad to cope with Slim's antics.

looks like a very strong squad to me. it will take some beating especially with the form rowie reid is in and big tarque into things up here. maybe the squad is a little big for my liking but i guess a few of those players wont play so its a safe gaurd against that. but i think the top 15 or so players is fairly obvious and the rest are just there. dont know about the 21's team. havent heard of a squad. is there a lineup for the 21's? or anyone know of the players likely to be picked?
