Some interesting results this weekend thats for sure.
Those batting second are at an advantage with most sides not getting their entire overs in!

WYC are 6/168 off 50 overs v Keswick.
(Hopkins 77, BMac 29not out). Hopefully Benny Mac can bat for the 13 overs and then i think we are in the box seat with the runs on the board, although against a formiddable batting line up.

We have 13 overs to bat next weekend!

Ramblers look in a reasonable position against ANA, and Sheidow in a good position against Coro, which are the 2 biggest games for the round.

If Plympton end up falling short in their chase against ICC, it looks like they will come bottom, as im predicting a South Road victory aswell as a North Haven victory

Fairly good day at the ramblers on saturday, well have 17 overs to try and put on 80 odd runs. Being only three down with Dimma, Wrighty, JC and the unbelievable Dave Benson still in the shed were pretty confident on knocking up a score of 190+. If we can get that or even 180, chasing down 180 in 75 overs on the Dene is not easy, let alone 58. Heres hoping Sheidow pull something out of the bag for us. Me thinks coro are a little but edgy up there since they sent down Brucey to check our score at tea time, even tho at that time wouldnt it be best to focus on your own game, not going to check the team that is below u? Just seemed a bit odd to me

They are in basically the exact same position the two coros that is, so how is one in a reasonable position and the other in a not so good position, as you say Sheidow are in a good position :? .

 beat me to it!

As Caleb said, we've got our big hitters still in the shed (or batting, sorry AF ;) ), so we're pretty confident.

I'm pretty sure this isn't the case, but with the restricted overs - there's no restrictions on number of overs an individual can bowl?

Correct RB no Restrictions on how many overs a bowler can bowl in these reduced over games.

Not confusions at all Caleb.

I know this may come as a shock to many of you but we don't agree on all things CK and I.

My mum and dad can testify to that as well as the 50 odd stitches in CK's head   .

The reason i think Sheidow are favourite is because they can now reload with Benny Cameron with the ball, and i do not find Koirala's batting that damaging and i think the reduced overs will make Sheidows win more probable, especially with Cheek out and who is to come. I would watch out for Joshy Lourens though with the bat, he can hit a big ball, and hits the ball very hard, so he could do some late damage.

The reason i say Ramblers are in a good position, is as RB said, they have Dimma to come, along with Wright, Haussen and Ferris (not sure if he is playing come to think of it), who can all hit a ball. I also think this will make it harder for the ANA boys to chase the score, as the rely on Basso and Rowe, and if they need to play a bit more attacking, this could bring their downfall.

There you go bloods, that explain it ya pelican?

Ferris isnt playing, he works at a winery so this is the very busy time of the year. Haussen is out as hes a best man at a wedding. but we still have dimma and wrighty left. also smithy and workie are still batting and i think we only need minimum 180 to get a win. 200 would be very psychologically damaging but we have a strong attack and were used to bowling on that deck. ana only have two strong bowlers in rowe and o malley.

Lets hope benny cameron can have a very good day for sheidow and get us into the finals.

Completely forgot about Work. Ginger is definitely your in form batter IMO. Has made a fair few 30 odds this year.

Only two strong bowlers! I would underestimate the other two wicket takers in Zuvella and Goodrich. Theyve taken over 20 wickets each IIRC which is damn handy. Those two get alot of wickets, because after Rowe and OMalley people dont respect them enough!

So is it a one dayer this week or does the forfeit stand and no game played at all?

I reckon this being the second week the match is finished so we get the points for a first innings win. Don't think it matters tho the result won't make much differance to the top 4 goin into the finals. I'm just happy we get other result our way giving us more of a chance to avoid the wooden spoon

You are never too old to bowl mate, just ask Geoff Hardy. 51 and still opening. In a team that is undefeated too!
