Incorrect, the outright would have meant you were still a possibility of making the four even if you lost to Smithfield next week. It would have then come down to performance points as to who snuck into that last spot!! Now, it is open for Craigmore, Smithfield and CU to grab the last spot!!

Should make for an interesting weekend then :)

got told by there c graders we had to sit on the other side of the oval because they wanted the shade to them selves and then very personal comments were made to fine leg, heard its not just our team they bag on the sideline.. OTH finally win a few games and they get mouthy, wonder if them supporters know there grand final history against the lodge

it is a shame because there players are top guys to your face

ok for starters i dont think the rest of the competition wants to know that brahma lodge couldnt sit where they wanted to sit?? Our c grade wanted to be close to the bar and had there families there? I dont see a prob?? U make it sound like we made u sit in the sun?? You were in the same spot the rest of the comp sits when they play at OTH.

Secondly, as far as comments from the side lines go, ever team have supporters and ever team have people that yell stuff out from the sidelines. As far as Brahmas history against OTH I wouldnt know, but i do know this, Brahma havnt beaten a top 4 side this year?? So please, dont go on the internet posting crap, just comes across like ur having a cry.

Would hate to lose to them first round of finals then wouldn't we? Also interesting to note, during the brahma OTH game on the weekend I witnessed square leg umpire after every 2nd over getting a score check (near the end of the game) and referring this information to the current batsman, now correct me if im wrong, but if you are at square leg to umpire isn't umpiring all you are required to do?

dont think that we really cared to much - didnt bother me as I walked past them - but it was good to see the umpire pick it up with 4 overs to go and told the square leg to do his duty - whilst the previous 10 overs he happily walked by whilst square leg stopped for a chat with the batsmen :D

When the game is alive they are officials, pretty weak to even worry about that though.

ur right, but would it have been worse if the batsman had to ask what the score was every 2nd over?? he was keeping score for both teams not just oth. Stop being so petty.

Not being petty, was just an observation of consistency as i had been warned a few games ago to not talk to the batsman, and rules are rules no matter how Petty they may be.

That is "petty", there is a difference between a chat and telling them the score on the way past.

But holding up the game by running to the boundary asking for a score is fine LM, thats more what is was on about, a quick comment walking past wouldn't be a problem in most cases.

In Groovers defence it was more than telling the score
but as I said I and the team didnt raise it - although that could be because I was stuffed from fielding all day ;) too old to be a sub fielder  and the other sub fielder we had was even older

An outright would've pretty much secured your finals spot, I too was very surprised to see that you kept batting to get to 442. Angle Vale won outright to snare 2nd spot.

Fair enough LM, I also had the luxury of watching my team on the weekend, but also got to see the end of 3 other games

haha browny!! its not our fault man, and pretty sure it wasnt that much quicker. Groover, the games going to get held up regardless who askes the scorers for the score. Perhaps next week u can come down and hold up a score board if this issue is troubling u so much.

I dare say that the batsman should know where the team is at score wise as there is a break every 20 overs and they can call for a drink at any time, im sure if they are having problems with that the club could invest in a make shift scoreboard as some other clubs have done.

Gee, Grades 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7 all still very much alive. Central United and Parafield Gardens are top and 2nd respectively in Grade 2 & the loser could still miss out on finals.
