Also a big surprise with John Lienert seeking a clearance to nuri, he will fit into their bowling attack nicely but i imagine there will be some rumblings from a few of the local bowlers that already dont get a bowl

I reckon I would get over my sooking about not getting too much of a bowl at about 7pm the night of my second consecutive A grade flag...

I am going to start a petition to help Eudunda Cricket Club. The petition will be for the return of all their cricketers playing elsewhere in the Barossa (mainly Nuri),

Daniel Doecke
Luke Steinberner
Damien Schiller
Michael Zerner
Craig Reimann

Anymore I have missed??

No question that all these blokes are probably at the other end of their careers but they still are all handy cricketers and would make Eudunda a extremely competative team in the A1 grade let alone A1 Reserves.

In saying that Nuri probably would struggle to get an A1 team on the park.

:) :) I like it :) :)

I think Nuri's philosophy is to ignore junior development and simply poach ready made players. They really are the United Arab Emirites of the Valley floor.

They have been lucky that most of these players have moved into the town but still, point to the local player that came up through Nuri junior grades

(rough 13 man A grade squads)

Craig Burgess - Juniors
Shaun Gibson - No
Luke Steinberner - No
Brett lydemore - No
Matt George - ?? I think he played juniors at LP
Daniel Doecke - No
Johno Gerhardy - No, LP
Andy Prior - No
Justin Ward - No
Arlon Hall - Juniors
Damien Schiller - No
John Lienert - No
Michael Zerner - No

2/13 possible 3/13 if you include George.

v Angaston (only cause it is my club and know where most of the players)

Ben Klemm - Junior
Nick Pech - Junior
Ben Burgess - Junior
Brett Burgess - Junior
Brandon Kurtz - No
Shaun Woodards - Junior
Brett Woodards - Junior
Mathhew Blenkiron - ?? Not sure if he played juniors at Ango or out Eden Valley way
Tim Herrmann - Junior
Matthew Doecke - Junior
Jason Zanotti - No
Jack Miles - Junior
Craig Isbel - No

9/13 or possibly 10/13 depending on Blenkiron

Although Premierships talk!!!

He's moved back into the area and is keen as mustard to get back playing cricket at Ango. Has been playing in town I believe whilst still winemaking up here in the Valley. I think he has started is own wine label but not sure of the name. Good bloke and will settle back into our side nicely.

Will keep an eye on him.
Had some interesting times when he and his brother were living in Loxton.
