Certainly agree that all teams would do the right thing, but how many guys playing (inexperienced or not) have actually had to umpire? No doubt mistakes will be made, and these mistakes will only be highlighted when you have to umpire yourselves.

Yes Tony, a real sense of humour shown by Num on Saturday. Waited til about 5pm on an overcast day until he brought young Ziggy on!! Struggled to even see Nummy's nude nuts, let alone the fizzers passed your ears!!

Santa Claus, Mucka, Richard Haskett and a bloke whose name escapes me but umpired almost exclusively
B grade last year are the 4. Believe Kov has given it away as well but not 100%

The last two I mentioned had prior commitments on Round 1. Hopefully they'll be back in the fold this coming week.

Although I think that in A Grade we are all honest enough to make the right calls in regards to sportsmanship within the league.

Interesting games coming up this week

Seen some low scores in the Elliot V Goolwa game this week Faramir, was it a case of the same old elliot in the batting department with their bowling as good as any team in the league, but the batting very very fragile?????

I'll let you gauge such an opinion this weekend.....

Clammy Lintern has joined the mfs in victor and will miss about 4 weeks with training requirements, also away at the moment in Bali and will miss another 2 weeks there. Unfair on the rest of the team to take on the without Beijing able to give 100%. When you have people like richie overall willing to do the job, you know the club will be in safe hands!!!!!!

On a whole I find this forum is generally pretty good, but I just find myself not ever reading one thing Bloods has to say. Pt Elliot are a great club with a great bunch of people but I'm glad Bloods isn't posting opinions on behalf of my club. Although I know they are his own opinions and not the opinion of the whole club I cringe every time I see a Bloods post and he isn't even apart of my club.

Some big results so far this round. McLaren and Willunga are both in good positions to claim an early season outright victory. Hoffman very impressive for the bays and Mt Compass just as solid as always.

Well R.C.Q. and fans in general... Bloods i feel waz lacking in character, as one of the better batters in his side he left early with his Mum...Get MUM!!! :D :ANAL:

His brother by contrast batted twice with 8 stiches in his knee!!! Just the one heart in the family, for two bodies!!! Serious!!

Maybe it's something in the water down that way...

One J Kuss, not out in the second innings against McLaren, and with Goolwa attempting to stave off an outright loss, didn't re-appear after the drinks break. Upon Ifould questioning the umpire, was informed that a 21st celebration was the reason. An injured A Evans on the sidelines was, as you can imagine, very impressed!

I heard too these guys left for a 21st, this is Piss Weak, I mean are these guys serious about their cricket????

They basically have left both of their teams short of making finals now, pretty much a waste, Basically shows no character, i mean leaving at 5 or so for an excuse such as work would be fine, but leaving for a party.

It just shows the difference between the top teams and there dedication to play finals and cricket every week, and the minnows who feel as though throwing away outrights through lack of dedication on SOME parts.
