You know what they say,IF U DONT LIKE IT STOP SITTING AROUND AND GET ON THE COMMITTEE AND HAVE A GO YOURSELVES

:(( :((
I was told Compass dont have to confirm there sides until the 6th week of the season, so players can play for either team until then. True or False RockyB?? Being on the committee & having a go you should know this....

WOW after the 6th week they have to name 8 players ,just like the PEG had to do when they combined ,you can not have two sides swapping and changing sides as they could easy make a strong side up when one side plays a stronger side ,this would cause all sorts of arguements.

But it does not matter what i say as u have got issues with what ever i say, just stick to your footy mate

=)) =)) No issues with you RockyB or am i shocked by your post, if you post stuff on here about other peoples clubs, which you have no idea about or hear bits & pieces, then expect to get a response, this is a forum.

I agree that you cant have players swapping sides but they can for a few weeks, you wrote that there would be a meeting about it. If they name Numnuts, Braidwood etc in there second side they're not breaking any rules.

I dont even know who played in Mypongas B grade on the weekend but how many of them could play A grade RockyB or anyone else?? Dont want to seem like im picking on you

Hello all! Long time listener, first time caller! I'm curious by the Compass 2 A grade thing. It has been mentioned that 6 players must be nominated for the firsts and cannot play in the seconds. Sounds fair enough. Who do you guys reckon should be the 6? I would've thought Connor, Tomlinson, Nash, Dzamko, Braidwood and maybe McMillan would be the ones? Num being the other option but if he is going OS as reported by OFFCUTTER that would be pointless! Not sure if I agree with Rocky B's statement about Brown and Binns especially as after looking at mycricket scores this week I see guys like Grant Prizza playing B's for Willunga and Dave Wenham in the C's. I thought exec committee would have more to say about A graders playing in Bs and Cs rather than A graders playing A grade!

i'm more worried about whether or not we are gonna miss another week of cricket this time due to rain rather than the poxed out bye.

sheminator are you like your name sake on american pie, because binns and brown are has been's so to think that they should be tied to one team is ludicrous. I would think that they are more b graders.

the 6 you named are accurate i think, have you got inside knowledge.

how can dave wehnem be allowed to captain a c grade??????

Mate all i want is for the comp to keep going strong and for all clubs to have strength in all grades, this can only happen if everyone thinks positive and gets behind one and other no need to bag people who an idea .

No Ramadash, no inside info just a lucky stab in the dark based on studying the Victor Times the last couple of seasons!

As for American Pie? I'm just a massive Ian Bell fan!!

I agree regarding Binns and Brown.

If Binns and Brown were to play in the top side, who left in the seconds would captain it? Looking at the names listed there on the weekend is there anyone who has actually played A grade before ... let alone be capable of captaining an A grade side?

relatively right with a few there,
think elliot will get up though , mclaren on the other hand iffy wouldnt put all my eggs in one basket i think willunga will come back firing and get up! and yes definately compass gold over goolwa, they talk themselves up too much and with the line up they have they should but...compass are a quality side and if they cant beat port elliot what do we expect from them against gold..? and yep aldinga over maroon for the same reason bryce is simply a gun...

Chezzles is a great player, bit like Hamish Robertson

Last weeks results very supprizing, this weeks tips,Enc Bay will flog Elliot unless Eliot bowl like they did last week with there legside theory,Tyson Hack must of watch Bodyline to much and told his bowlers to put the ball out of reach then give them a suprize ball every now and then ,great stuff Tyson seemed to work,Mc Vale will continue on with B Wilson the star,Mt Compass Gold and Goolwa game should be close but with Goolwa not a full strengh yet Golds in a close one ,hope i am wrong with this one,Aldinga and Mt Compass marron this is a hard one Aldinga only have Bryce he will did a big score again for them to win think i will go with Mt Compass Marron there.

Good luck to all hope your team wins.

Well hasnt the season had an interesting start to it, who wuldve thought aldinga wuldve been top after 2 rounds, the ultimate b.garrard is on fire!
Popped into Encounter Bay to see the local lads and they looked like they were doing it easy against pt elliott, butler looked dangerous with the ball, will trouble some teams enc bay!!
Through the scores on MyCricket looks like Mt Compass Gold are the team that will be chased this year, 2 early wins and the side is lookin quite strong!!
Goolwa start the season off pretty poorly, however last season they started well and didnt make the finals so maybe they are trying something different this season haha!!
Willunga got their first win for the year, and by the scores quite comprehensively too, it is hard to take much from this game coz willunga and mclaren always have good battles and will be there or thereabouts at the end of the year!
What do others think about the start to the season??

Only fishing with u guys WIW24 as I have also played alot of cricket and with our lads playing a trial against Aldinga and belting them with a number of our better players out the standard on that day would struggle against our B grade. And on Bricey he is a gun and I coached and taught him all he knows. :-)

Definitely have to agree with you Luke. A very interesting start with some big results on the weekend. We'll see how long Aldinga sit top of the ladder. Got Elliot this week, so on form you'd think they should get up there. Will be interesting to see how well they go when (if?) Bryce fails with the bat. Also so far they have played Willunga who were mising a few and Compass seconds. Will get a better idea against Compass Gold and E-Bay.
What happened at the Bay? Did all the boys have a 3pm wedding to get to or something? must've been over pretty quick! Was it good bowling/ poor batting / dodgy pitch? E-Bay looking good! Should thump maroons! might not need a 2nd week!
Goolwa will get better after Christmas when Thorpe, McCard, Wakefield, Giddings, Ponting, Symonds and kieron Pollard all arrive as promised!
McLarens will be ok. lots of young guys there, would expect a few up and downs.

How good were the Goolwa B Grade side on the weekend!! Bowling out Rapids for 78 and chasing it down in the 18th over. The Goolwa side consisted of 7 players aged 13-18 and one who is about 60!! Well done lads!!
