When are we going to see this party animal at the footy club? I only see soft perfrmances there.

sec1 experience? ha u make me laugh af... u talk as if its a good competition? take icc for example, the best side in the comp by miles and what i thought most sec1 teams would be like before we came up, then u have plympton who are only 3 spots behind them in the 4 and i could probably see 2 maybe 3 at best making the icc 11 from plympton...that sort of standard drop was somethin i saw in sec2 last year...

u might see it a couple of times this year af as im taking the year off and spending a bit of time in melbourne watching benny cuz tear it up in the yellow and black, when i do come up the club i hope your hard enough for an all nighter?

right, now how many from Sheidow would walk into that side?

Gee if we take into account the fact that a game got abbandoned due to a council fukup on the oval we would currently be on 31 points, equal 3rd... scored 313 against north haven that game! hope that doesn't bite us...

Congrats on the hunge btw.

I would say Ford, both McCormacks would walk into any side in the comp. Condon and Cooke would make most sides as well IMHO. From Plympton, Pritchard and Mcrae would be the ones to walk into anyside and there are others that would make most other sides but not all. Plympton IMHO rely on 8 or 9 players whereas Sheidow are more reliant on a few.

I'm happy with a shared workload, means if one or two don't get amongst it then someone else should tidy up.

And for the record, 3 un-tucks on saturday, and i was a partial untuck while i was bowling so i hope that is ok for the dizzying heights of the ASCA dress code

Yep i think relying on a couple of people isn't healthy if they fail the rest of the side panics. It has been a problem of ours in the past but something i am confident isn't a problem anymore.

If you bat them out of the game, they have nothing to play for and we all know how hard it is to get guys out who have no intention of playing a shot. Plus we thought having 7 overs at them at the end of the day might have got a wicket. It should have, 2 drops (1 by yours truly) didn't help.

In reality, this coming Saturday is kind of like a 1-dayer. South Road have a 20 run lead, their bowling attack looks half decent. If I was their captain, I'd figure a first innings loss for 1point won't help getting near the finals, so I'd go for it. Go the tonk for 35 overs, hope to put 150 on the board, declare and try and get 10 wickets in 40-odd overs.

I played a game against your mob last year in section one when you sent us back in for absolutely no reason in my opinion, i openned and only hit the ball when it was in line with the stumps, i padded everything else away or left balls that were going over the stumps and when McCrea was hitting them i wasn't even going to run, i was leaning on my bat, he had to make all his runs in 4's!! So yeah you definately gotta time it right otherwise galahs like me will come in and bore everybody to death!

There was only one bloke really keen on going back out that day, our skip. I certainly didn't feel like it - was a bit knackered after being out there all afternoon and just wanted to have a couple of beers to celebrate. If I was your skip I would have left us out there for the rest of the afternoon. I doubt our Skip would make the same decision again.

We had 10 blokes tucked in and myself who did as he pleased depending on how sweaty I got. For much of the day we were a beautiful bunch which no doubt would have pleased to 20 or so ladies we had watching on 'ladies day'

That was one of the reason why i hated section one cricket and hid in section 2 for ten years (apart from not bening good enuff for most of that time)!! Sheepstation cricket... after the game i want a beer! and occasionally i like to have a beer with the opposition but not on that particular day, i was abit cranky having to bat... and i was sent out to bat to make sure that this second innings finished as soon as possible!!

And there is no way our skip would have left you guys out there, because before the ump could finish saying 'do you boys want bad light' i had the stumps up at my end and was half way off the ground!!

i disagree here bloods, the only from plympton that would walk into every other side is Pritchard! McCrae would not walk into any other side, right now he would not make our side IMO.
Cooke would definitely walk into every other side, IMO he would not be too far off the senior side with the way he was bowling before chrissy! he was in great form in the 21s and is as important to sheidow as ford and brendan are.

will be a good game, im hoping ramblers get over the line so we dont have to play at hackham (its shocking, bad atmosphere for 20/20, too big and long drive). i think hawthorndene would be ideal for 20/20 will be a very good atmosphere and good oval and not so far away! go you ramblers! haha thats the only time il say that ever i think!

bloody hope so if they win! but still takes away the atmosphere because the ground is that far from where people sit and even more so since its been taking in! i watched ICC and belair 20/20 and they played the whole field, it was stupid, only one boundary was hit in ICC's innings (they batted first and made 2/121 or thereabouts)
