Some really exciting news, Craigmore D Grade get 2 wins in a row, well done to the lads.
It doesn't happen very often for our D Grade.

Rules are rules and if you break them for one person you have to break them for everyone.

Played 2 E Grade games.... Filled in for A's a month ago. Wanted to have one more hit for the year

Social cricket isn't it ??

Should be able to return to the grade you started in after just 1 game in the higher grade. Can of worms if a bowler breaks down 5 minutes before the game on one ground and a bloke gets called from the other ground at the last minute. Pretty ordinary decision IMHO. Just one of a string of ordinary decisions over the last couple of years.

Just like to take this opportunity to thank f2f for assisting our gun opening batsman Dyl Mac in making his first A Grade ton after dropping him and missing a run out. ;-)

Can of worms, are you serious?? This rule has been around for years, I feel for said player as obviously he was doing his club a favour and it has been clear from the outset this season that he wanted to play with his dad and just enjoy the season but he wasnt filling in for a bowler that broke down five minutes before the game, so honestly how is denying a permit to a player that wants to jump from grade 1 to grade 8 a poor decision? Pull your head in Graham, perhaps the Salisbury West Committee want to have a look at themselves as to why they allowed the selection to take place and failed to explain to those involved what the ramifications would be. I can't see how the PDCA is responsible for fixing a Salisbury West f*ck up.

And PG  This was always going to end badly

Would like to take this opportunity to thank thats gold for his rank hack that looked like it was meant for cow corner but only made it to mid off, which continued the craigmore collapse after looking to be well on track tp score 300 plus. Craigmores batsmen showed no willingness to get on with the job late in the day, dismissed for 230 after a strong start. Goats in for 5 overs and are 20 without loss. On an unusually quick outfield up the hill, feeling very confident we can chase 210 in 70 overs next week against a side whos strength lies well and truelly in there batting

You wouldnt want to drop a catch next week either mate ;)

I think though what everyone is really interested to see is what happens with Travis now - whether he plays club cricket or is suspended, whether he is allowed to play 21's Sunday etc.. If it is merely a ban from the open assoc side and he fronts Saturday to play, i'm sure it wont be the last we hear of this incident..

Did young Travis pull on the whites this week?

Geez don't take it to heart, just a bit of banter. We all drop catches mate and we were happy you dropped that one to help him make his maiden ton.

The young fellas dont tend to hang around for a drink or two after the game, especially mid game. PS been in good catching form all season but bound to drop a catch next week now.

I have heard Elaine has resigned from samca over the issues that they keep shafting us with.. now we need to leave samca and just play the barossa seniors and 21s once a year.

I've always been an advocate for this concept, we used to have a one off match in the 80's and 90's, it ensured we had the best XI playing as it didn't seem like a chore.

Oz, where were you set to bat in this game??

I think that the rules are pretty clear and simple, but in your case after going up to fill in, you should be able to come back down if you wanted to play with your dad.. Having said that, if you were opening the batting and bowling I would be denying the permit. If you just wanted to go down to play with your dad and batted low and had a roll for a couple, don't think it would be too bad.

Big weekend for the McIver boys, younger brother Mitch also took 8 wickets for the Jets U16's in their Game against Adelaide CC

Both are talented and great kids.

Young Mitch will be an absolute gun in the future, took 8 wickets and he is probably a better bat than bowler.
