Lourens bowled well throughout the game but Bruce was the pick of their bowlers he bowled quite sharp and was moving the ball very nicely. Just one of those days for us unfortunately.

Sounds like the hunter almost got ASCA over the line against turf today by himself. Heard he made about 70 and took 3 wickets. They passed our 146 8 down. We recovered from 8/64 with a good partnership between TL and the Hunter.

Cricket is a funny, funny game. We haven't been able to make runs almost all season, then manage to chase 260-odd with 150+ Morphy Park players/fans/sponsors cheering them on from the sidelines. We're then feeling pretty good about ourselves with "our destiny is in our hands blah blah blah".

Come Saturday night, we find out WYC are beaten outright by bloody Coromandel! We have a hold on that 4th spot for about 2-3 games when we shouldn't have, we finally do something right and boom! We're in bloody 5th!

Strange old game... Who knows what will happen this week. For all we know now, ICC will thrash Plympton, Coromandel get spanked by Sheidow (here's hoping) and somehow we lose to Glenelg and ICC go through to the finals on percentage. Or, an outright by Morphy Park or Sheidow might get them through too!

Great last round... comeon Ramblers and comeon Sheidow! ;)

Bit harsh on Bruce there i think Caleb about Coro only having one bowler?

Bruce bowled rather sharp, and simply attacked the stumps and got the reward. Besides a couple wickets, we didnt play bad shots, simply got done by a better side on the day. They had a great run, and jeeze they took some good catches that definitely helped them along the well..

So it leaves the race for the 4 well and truly open, altho it would have been better with Coro only getting a win to keep the race for the 4 even closer.

Did you carry your bat in the first innings CK?

Yeah he did and he still didn't get the top score  :D . We got to see the turtle in him. Pity a few more in our side didn't have the same application.

Question, Panorama 2nd in sect 3, Clapham top in sect 4 even with 1 round to go will finish in those spots.
Now they share a oval, who gets the right for a home semi, do they go by the higher sect team or the team higher on the ladder ?

Thats a very good question RM. I know that keswicks sect 1 are in the same boat with Warradales section 6 side i think it is....they share the same oval (Marymount) however because keswick lease the oval from warradale they will get the home final i think. This is only if warradale finish in a position for a home final that is.

thus the question, should there be some priority depending on section or ladder position?

It will go to whoever the oval belongs to as such i would think. If Clapham for example lease the oval off Panorama then Clapham wouldn't have the right to the home final.

Was not just myself that played well...we bowled and fielded pretty bloody well without a lot of luck. A lot of balls hit in the air just wide of fielders. TL and Lucky boweled very well to start us off and then Josh Lourans bowled well without luck. Cheeky and JC also bowled very well. I was just lucky to snare a couple.

Batting was really disappointing. A lot of blokes got out to shit shots. Macca batted very well again at the top. Recon we would have won with another 30 runs. they passed us with 11 balls to spare 8 down.

Yeah Skinny said Macca batted well at the top of the order. But it seems there were no other contributors with the bat unfortunately.

A good effort i guess considering the amount of people pulling out even up until about 9 saturday night. Good to see guys make the effort to get a team out on the park for asca and perform admirably.

I think it is sad that most players either don't play or pull out of the association games when the opportunity to play at the Adelaide oval is gone. ASCA had a very strong team round one and lost and some players didnt want to play after that. ASCA has won 1 out of 6 games in the last two years and should be doing better.

Depends on what happens in the section 2 finals. Nth Haven will possibly avoid relegation, should they finish bottom a fair chance they won't, by having their b's win section 2. If an A grade side won section 2 then it is possible a side would be relegated but no certainty.

Plenty of variables and not sure we would know until later in the year.

True Sarge if we had been able to get our best side on the park for all the games i would think they would have won more than 1 out of 6.

I feel sorry for skinny, he was chasing people for sunday up until about 11 pm saturday night.

Not just skinny Bloods. I know the Hunter was chasing people at Bubbles 30th to play the next day instead of enjoying the night.

Yeah sarge i did! Faced Lourens for around 7 overs straight i think it was, as i simply couldnt get off strike, and Bruce continues to clean up down the other end. The Lourens ended up finishing off the tail!!

One would think it is only the two Coro's who are a chance of making the finals. If Coro win they are in and if they lose the ramblers need to knock off the bays. It looks as though WYC and Glenelg are playing for the right to host the game between them as keswick will finish first and play either coro side.

ICC will need to win outright to be any chance of making it. Coro's superior quotient couldn't be caught up by ICC in this game i wouldn't think.
