I know what you are talking about there AF  . Yes I did ask your president about when you guys would be available to play the final IF we were to make it. We don't think we have it wrapped up just enquiring when you guys would be available as the next few weekends are busy australia day, association games etc. We do expect the game against Mitchell Pk to be tough especially their bowling attack which can cause plenty of damage.

Very strange request indeed. We have the small task of getting past ICC first.

We have asked them as well. We thought you guys were playing this week as well so we wanted to play the final IF we made it next weekend thats all.

Well short story long.

We had an association umpire in our game. We bowled first. They didn't like some decisions, which I thought were pretty fair to be honest.

Then when we were batting, they were still making comments etc... umpire kept telling them to back off... meanwhile we were dominating them which probably didnt help. After a while the umpire had enough of it and ended up awarding penalty runs.

Then there was a runout chance, at the Assoc umpires end, which was given not out, and they just went nuts. Calling the umpire a cheat etc... more penalty runs... and they walked off and quit. Was told they were to play next week, then they ring up Thurs and Fri and say they arent going to.

Only advise is to have experienced umpires out there at all times. Guys who will call it as they see it. Definately don't back chat them, because they will make comments. Not sure where you are playing them, but they do drink alcohol before, during and after the game. Be careful if it is at a school ground. Big fines.

Did Mal Condon end up getting suspended?

what are u talking about af, if i were western youth i would be confident too...look at the ladder positions, 1 player bowling 4 overs wont be the different, they still have to find 16 overs from other blokes, western youth have an even spread of good players and a long batting line up....

p.s when is the next western youth bulls/smash box sa meeting? can it be after australia day im on detox after i just treated my body like an amusement park the last few weeks...

JB with all your section 1 experience I suppose I should be listening to you. Mitchell Pk are a bowling side, definitely not a batting side. WYC are favourite, but I think 20/20 has the chance to be a much tighter game than the 75 over game.

When are we going to see this party animal at the footy club? I only see soft perfrmances there.

sec1 experience? ha u make me laugh af... u talk as if its a good competition? take icc for example, the best side in the comp by miles and what i thought most sec1 teams would be like before we came up, then u have plympton who are only 3 spots behind them in the 4 and i could probably see 2 maybe 3 at best making the icc 11 from plympton...that sort of standard drop was somethin i saw in sec2 last year...

u might see it a couple of times this year af as im taking the year off and spending a bit of time in melbourne watching benny cuz tear it up in the yellow and black, when i do come up the club i hope your hard enough for an all nighter?

AF honestly bloods only asked both clubs hoping we could play it next w/e (if we won, and we thought u had the game this weekend aswell) because we see this as a fun and outlet to have a smash in a game! at not one stage have we thought we will walk through this game with a win (we have memories of drenthan taking 8/66 against us last year, we rate there bowling line up extremely high). As i leave in a couple weeks we were hoping to get the final (if we maede it) next best w/e so i could play one last time with my brother and best mates!

so if we are cocky for trying to do that than so be it but it was just trying to do somethin for me and get the 20/20 competition out the way so we can concentrate on the real stuff at the business end of the year!!

JB hope to see u on sunday mate put on a performance for us? the WYC boys will stay for an hour(s) at mitchell park to help their bar takings since the economy is struggling at this point in time ;) ;)

that is crap! IMO if he was reported in round six, the hearing must be before the start of round 7 surely? he could get a one match suspension yet make a ton in round 7 and win sheidow the game, and then miss the game in round 8? surely thats not far for the competition in general?

altho i hope he gets off, good bloke and knowing that umpire, he probably came with a bad mood and took it out on someone!

Had we played the 20/20 this weekend I'd be surprised if we could convince the lads to back up next weekend anyway. The wives / girlfriends would probably rule the roost.

JB, stop being a smartarse. You win every game last yr in sect. 2 and half way thru this season you find yourself out of the 4 but still slag the comp.? Am still not sure of the issue you blokes have with Plympton. We don't consider ICC to be miles ahead either, just favourite. We beat them last yr. Come down Sunday and we can sort our differences man to man after several beers.

im not being a smart arse thats my honest opinion and i was just making an example of plympton them being the closest team to icc we have played (apart from the youth centre) i would make an example of your team but i dont know what your like... leggas is a pretty handy in for any unbeaten team mate... u cant tell me most teams in this comp have 2 to 3 players and the rest pretty much making up the numbers? i can only see from what i have played against and 5 out of the 6 teams fall in that category...

You sure are keen on yaself JB,how about stop bagging other sides and worry bout your own mate.

I reckon if you weren't so arrogant you might be able to bat for longer periods more often!

Mate, your a good bat but cut the bullshit.

Boozers obviously u got no idea how JB bats, he is the 2nd biggest turtle in the comp (wont say the number one  ) he does not play a shot and is always constantly batting for long periods of time. there would not be another person close to the amount of balls he has faced this year!
Congrats to JB and the sarge making 108 and 117 respectively.

Westminster 182 (aust 60 odd, R.King 3 fa, K.Wild 3fa, Bloods 3 fa) off 47.1 overs
WYC 0/132 off 25 overs

and JB for the record ICC lost last game to westminster so they are not unbeaten..
Leggas is a massive inclusion for them because it is now a case that ICC have two people (him and sambo) that can bat for long periods with the others hitter. early wickets are so so so so so so important against ICC and we lacked that (first wicket at around 150 or so i think)
