Nothing personal against Smithfield just think the strength of the big 4 -BL, R&C, SW and OTH are just a fraction above the rest

Although OTH look good on paper, they are struggling to post a decent total, last season they appeared under-manned and made some excellent totals and exceeded most people's expectations.
Each to their own though, I think Smithfield will win more one-dayers than they'll lose and I think they'll start posting some decent totals now that they've got Rosies and Westies out of the way in the longer version game.

oh sh1t are we playing 2 dayers at the moment??
looking at our score books, we have already played about 15 games this year lol

Keeps our players interested, who wants to only have one bat and bowl every two weeks :p

We will come good in the batting by the end of the year. Top 6 will come good.
The secret impresses no one. The trick you use it for is everything.

I'll treat each situation individually, it's hard when teams don't list players etc. I had Rogers to take the most wickets but he didn't play last week. Well there's been two winners so far this round so they'll stand, cricket will still be on tomorrow anyway.

I think the association should make all clubs put their teams up on MyCricket by friday night. Clubs that don't do it cause others to have to go back in again later to enter in dismissals details to complete the match. I know there might be some late changes to teams but overall it would work better.

The whole "mycricket" is a bit sketchy, I'm pretty sure last season as long as the opposition was named, you could go and fill their data in aswell. It's crap having to go back in it 3 or 4 times waiting for the opposition to enter their crap.
I know some clubs like keeping their cards close to their chest, some are just plain lazy and others just struggle to work it out.

We use mycricket and teams need to be entered Friday or Sat and the home side must fill in all details by Sunday. The away team only needs to confirm the result. Otherwise they get fined. I'm sure the PDCA will like this especially if a fine is attached to it.

Agreed. Its not hard to punch in the teams on a Thurs or Fri night, and not hard to put the results in on a Sunday at some stage, it only takes a few minutes.
As for LMs comment about sides keeping cards close to their chest in regards to teams, well why? Not like people are going to g  n a massive advantage overnight from it and most sides tend to be pretty similar each week anyway, no real suprises.

It's fact that teams don't want to put their list in because "they don't have to" and it's nobody else's business, we are one of the two clubs that do have our teams entered on fridays, I just think it's a more professional look for the PDCA.

New playing conditions/ rules have to be voted on at a meeting, there's a meeting next Wednesday night, get your delegate to present it, I don't like the chances of it getting passed though.

Last season our player auction was on a night after the days play was washed out, I think it bumped up the bids a fair bit, could be the same tomorrow night, should be interesting.

Temas are never official until the toss. Why would there be a need to enter them beforehands. Things can change, people can become unavaialble seems pointless to have them entered in beforehand. People may to work suddenly etc, someone might hurt themselves. Any number of reasons for a team change, dont see the need for them to be entered before a toss.

Hardly pointless, most clubs select teams on a Thursday night, would be nice if they could enter the teams at least during the week after the commencement of the game.
