Fitzroy put forward a very good argument why they should not have been deducted the points, so the motion of whether the 3 points should be reinstated or not was put to the club delegates. There were 8 votes for and 8 votes against, with a number of clubs (including the other Div 1 clubs) abstaining. So the motion missed out by one vote of being accepted, so the 3 point penalty stands and Fitzroy As will not be playing in the finals.

It was good to see that all the discussion was carried out in good spirits and the debate never became heated, and the Fitzroy delegates were willing to accept the decision.

NEWS JUST IN.....

Fitzroys deducted points to stand....paralowie to play finals.

In what can only be described as an epic hearing, it went to member votes, with equal ballots for and against. Call it an indecision to decide i guess??

Glenys was quite fiery from what i hear too.....

Intersting to note that all the votes to reverse the decision where non-church teams....all the votes to keep the point dedcuted where church originals, with the div1 teams present abstaining from the votes (which i can sort of understand).

anyway, thats done for us. lets see what happens with our c-grade, and then next year...in or out of this league.

....is accepting an indecsion acceptable??? i guess we exhausted all avenues to convince enough people to reverse. i cant think of a way to get around this just now!! anyway, its done and dusted for us....let hope lessons will be learnt by all

Its a tough one, personally i think the issue needed to be sorted BEFORE the last round ahd finished, i mean seriously this is an issue from before the new year isnt it?

Whether they are trying to make an example out of your side i dont know, 3 points is harsh i agree, unfortunately i really think leaving it so long like i said is worse.

Imagine if it were over turned? Paralowie think they are in, then they are out, you guys go in etc. Going into the last round every club should have known where it stood. Sorry if it doesnt make sense, very tired at the moment :)

I really hope you stick around next season...

Should of been sorted out weeks ago, not left to the meeting before finals.

Don't think I want to comment any further.

Good luck to Paralowie and the rest of the teams playing finals.

Moving on.. does anyone give Morialta any chance against Para Vista?

Talking to a couple of players tonight and they think they are half a chance lol

I think their only chance is if PV get lost on the way to the ground!

Fact 1.. You lost
Fact 2.. you were bowled out on the first day for less runs than a primary school side.
Fact 3.. you conceded almost 100 runs per hour, quality bowling!
Fact 4.. Chance to win outright guess what, yep refer fact 1!

It was weak as you had apprently been talking it up here before the day that we were so s***t that it wasn't going to be an issue. That's the problem mate you have pumped yourselves up off the bottom side so good luck in the finals just remember it could have been 3-0 Parkers.

Oh and by the way if your refering to family and brain cells I'm not the one playing for the club situated in northern suburbs.[/quote]

you idiot when and where did we pump ourselfs before play? ohh thats right we didnt.

and as for the 3-0 pfffft we forfieted against you the 1st time which gave you 10 points and nearly a quarter of your seasons points the 2nd game we hit 240odd and had reidy caught behind twice under 20 and given not out and he hits nearly 90 against a bowling line up that ace would hit a ton against anyway stop sooking your stronger than that you must be holding up every team above you's hahahahahaha
