having played against both teams this is my opinion.

Dont really care about a run of events..
Given my experience in finals, all i think is someone will step up and take this game by the scruff of the neck and tear it open and their team will probably win.

Or rather the team that does the small things right and minimises errors will win the game :P

I agree.. good enough to play at that level, good enough to cop what ever comes with it.. i mean geez whats next? Wanna bowl half pace to him of the short run?
Age is not a factor in cricket!
And how long can a kid hide behind the "kid" tag??

i know what your getting at trust me, im not that stupid/niave. and im not saying i disagree either.

all i can say is that when we played Luthos with Blights lad (maybe 16/17) we definately did not have a seriosu dig at him. we actually encouraged him when he played a decent shot.

were we wrong as a team to do that to a young guy? i stand firm in my position.

in the case of supe, he has a mouth that far outweighs his ability, but his sledged are childish and of no significance to anyone. thats all i am saying, for the record.

he has been dissapointing this year, no doubt. he def needs to have a look at things - no opposition from me.

Seriously sledging is over rated anyway. You'd wanna back it up if you wanna give crap to someone! Not to mention sledging a batsman is a waste of energy IMO, they are fully aware of how much they are struggling, if you wanna sledge them then you are only giving them the ammunition to work harder, in esscense you could very well talk them back into form :?

Ok, first its Cliche'
I think Richie Marshall the big one to watch for Vi$ta, proven over the past few years that come the big stage he is ready to perform - should probably thank Pidge for that turn in fortune after he quipped about Marshall not being able to make runs in finals ;)

I actually think it will be reasonably high scoring as the bowling attacks for both sides are nothing short of pedestrian and boring.

Rose Park would want to lift their game from the semi, i mean what were they at stumps after the 1st week of the semi 5/60 or something? And Bruce-Gordan had hit 50 of them?

Reckon its a bloke from left field to take the game away from the opposition along the lines of a Tarca, Frick type player or even the RP skipper.

Not for a very long time no I dont think I have - mind you I dont bat enough or long enough for that effect  . Of course you can get out to a decent ball, incorrect decision or a stupid shot so why add "getting out because some clown got inside your head" to that list?!

When I get sledged i tend to agree with the fielder anyway or just give them my thoughts back
About the only good thing about sledging, a good way to switch off between deliveries :P

No Media ban just fun watching all the banter on here. I think it will be a great contest between the best 2 teams this year. I would like to say good luck to all 22 players that take the feild. I cant wait for Sataurday to get here.
