Yeah butcher for two reasons.. he butchers bowling attacks and he eats all the food at the BBQ :P
Balding is over rated anyway :P

Ah I say that all the time as well

Looking at Baldings stats i see his bowling average is higher than his batting average.. someone needs to tell him your supposed to score all your runs with the BAT not the BALL ;)

o geez....im hurting still. very astute DKL. i thought i was over it....

Lets see if u have the kahunas to do somethinig yourself in the GF and make a name for yourself, instead of piggybacking the success of your team mates.

The thing i find really amusing is that alot of the fitzy boys have played against rose park for a long time, its only now, with some success, that a select few decide to flex the forum muscle and have a go. You guys have some quality players and decent blokes, and the last thing you should be doing is trying to discredit your integrity on and off the field. This will ultimately be the measure of success for you club. Nothing worng with being passionate, but when a few of our guys are walking off and saying comments like "unsportman like"......well, you be the judge. And dont ask for example, cos i dont have any. The perception was there, which may be different to fact.

Even if you win the GF, people will remember no doubt. Its how you win the GF that will determine how people will remember RP long term.

Perhaps RP should instill the media ban seen for the Grand Finalists from 2009/2010

Those Vi$ta blokes sure messed you up mate  Don’t worry I think the Rose Park lads will recover better if they can’t get over Vi$ta and you won’t hear them saying ‘Those Vi$ta blokes are unsportsmanlike’. Yes I’m sure they’ll be fine mate, but if you’re still having problems I do know a good doctor ;)

Oh yeah, and I was always told as a young fella that if you’re prepared to dish it out, be ready to cop it back. Perhaps you could pass that on to someone involved with your club?

Keep on truckin mate! Toot Toot!

Just thinking a classic grand finals come and gone..

Remember the time Fitzroy played Vi$$$ta and got confused coz the golf had been on TV all week and thought that the lowest score wins? They thought they were soooo clever getting rolled so cheaply!

Bit harsh, he's a pretty good player in his own right. His brother won't be at Fitzroy either anyway, he's moving to Sydney.

Good evening trend setters. Been hearing alot about this forum from my mates, so id thought id check it out. Nice to see PG, GH,O2, SMASHA, and AUTO (who still sux) leading the ranks here.

Its been some interesting reading, just quitely, and good to see some new antagonists surface. Welcome.

Rose lake/park/edge whatever you want to call them have done the trick. I dont know GH, but having played independant central since 1993, i dont think these guys were ever competitive. They have always been fringing div1/div2 in churches, but this year have recruited very well indeed. Time will tell with these fellas - there is some talent there (and alot of assumed talent). The question is IF they win the GF,WILL they all play again ??? Our first and only div1 flag saw a mass exodus and retirements !!

The problem with rose park is an unfounded arrogance. Not yet guys, win the flag then get all cocky. No one remembers minor premiers.....

My tip is that there will be a big punch up on the ground V paravista. These are both teams that love to sledge, but dont seem to handle receiving it well. Rose park seem to complain on here about the sledging received too......wow, come on chaps.

My suggestion is to bring OGorman as 12th man on for the key wickets of the vista chaps. My advice for vista is to bring on Krafty for some devestation early.....use him wisely guys, his energy is exhausted very quickly with the furious action and threatening spin he exerts.

Good luck to all teams in all finals. Lets hope next year people are serious about the carnival and get behind GH to build a solid team. Lets also hope the exec have come up with a solution to keep the comp alive - will be interesting to hear them deliver the future plans that the sub committee has been working on???

keep on trucking . toot toot !

hahaha, classic case of sour grapes..... love it!

dont seem to handle recieving the sledging? which Fitzroy assoc player (so called batter), gave out some sledging while in the field, then when he batted and got a sledging himself basically cried next to his mummy, also heard another fitzroy player while batting and had no idea how to use a bat took a little bit of sledging to heart and cried to the umpire about it........

Not sour at all mate, we should never have played finals so an extra game was a bonus. Sour would be losing the GF .

And why dont you pick on men if you sledge, rather than kids. The so called sledging from the so called batter is hardly even worth noticing - cmon. Opportunists......

toot toot.

Your kidding aren't ya bb??? If your a kid and your good enough to play with the big boys, especially div 1, then learnt to take the heat, if not p!ss off to play cricket at their local daycare! Hate it when people sook and say that!

ok. im done apparently sooking now. my sincerest apologies to you smasha - come and give me a kiss now. RP boys, i may see you on sat, so kisses then please.

now lets talk about the RP v PV game seriously. here are my thoughts:

RP will win the toss and bat.

Frick/wiles (if hes playing) to open bowl and destroy the RP top order. Mr no surname to be caught at 3rd slip. duck.
Ash, caught on the leg side, backward of square. a big loss. about 15 runs
Reidy, caught slips/fly slip or short cover - but early. will go for shots thru cover for sure. maybe 2 or 3. if he gets past this, then a 50+++ is on the cards. Shaky early, we all know that.

Joshy vines to come on.

some mild resistance from the middle order. Some guys actually look pretty good with the bat. could go either way here. 2 gullys needed for Mr backward cap.

bowling change. Cuz and Marshall.

If resistance was there, these guys will draw batsmen into shots due the amount of sledging going on at this time. Tarcs to come into his element right here, wow. Posssible punch up.

Hendo and Clarke to steady the ship as they did so well against us. hold your catches if they come vista.....could cost ya.50+ partnership.

not much after this. RP all out for 160-22O. 8 overs to go.

PV in.

Young Mcleod to open (as night watchman) with Hoddo. This young chap can dig in, so watch him. No wicket for 40 runs at stumps. Hoddo 40*. I know cuz is a dynamic skipper who may not have considered this.......

Auto to be smashed on cougar cans. He may paint mouse whiskers on his face by this time.
Pidge to empty his nuts.....could be on azza.
Harry to re--do his hair and msg his gf.
Azza Roling to be talking to everyone and anyone and discussing a possible move the NEK along with Bourkey.
Smasha signing up for RP.
GH to be wishing he was fishing.
Bara tooting.
