  He did play at Paralowie.. maybe the club killed his senses and brain cells?

I reckon it enhances peoples brain cells mate and there is no way arrogance comes from Paralowie my good friend that appears to be the Rose Park boys! ;)

Not enough brain cells to be arrogant, most probably dont know the meaning, and you cant afford to be arrogant when your not winning.. ;)
If Paralowie are so clever how come half the team gets lost on the way to games?

Hmm maybe Rose Park aren't arrogant, maybe they are just supremely confident? I mean they haven't really got any reason to be arrogant, like Cougar said they have had a tough battle the past few seasons.. gotta win something 1st ;)

Sorry Carey. Was never any good at sledging, but I'm sure there will be plenty on here and on the ground Saturday.

PG, Rose Park are in their 2nd year of using St.Pauls College.

Meh either way, not many in this assoc have any right to whinge about postage stamp ovals - PV used to play at the primary school, Enfield @ Hampstead primary then Kilburn PS, Modbury/Eastside built an entire history around playing at the smallest grounds possible.

See, if you'd played against us in something higher than C or D Grade, you'd know we've never had postage stamp ovals. :P  Grand North for over 10yrs now, and prior to that was Tarama St, and prior to that (when your Dad was in Baghdad and you were in ya Dad's bag.. ;) ), Hargreave Oval somewhere not far from the Clovey by memory?? Was our home ground in my first year in 92/93 before moving to Tarama St. PV primary school was where our C Grade played.

FTR, smallest ground I ever played on in Churches was Ardtornish Primary School where TTG A's used to play when they were in existence. Hardly had a blade of grass on it and the pitch had that white plastic crap stuck to it for a few years. :? No wonder Crackers gained himself a reputation for being a cranky bastard. Top edged the poor bugga back over his head for six there one day.. Ironically, TTG's previous home ground was none other than Casa Da Postage Stamp!

Remember doing that myself a few times on that ground and he let me know about it. If i remember right, what also was good was where you sat as the batting team was basically on the hook shot as well?

Good evening trend setters. Been hearing alot about this forum from my mates, so id thought id check it out. Nice to see PG, GH,O2, SMASHA, and AUTO (who still sux) leading the ranks here.

Its been some interesting reading, just quitely, and good to see some new antagonists surface. Welcome.

Rose lake/park/edge whatever you want to call them have done the trick. I dont know GH, but having played independant central since 1993, i dont think these guys were ever competitive. They have always been fringing div1/div2 in churches, but this year have recruited very well indeed. Time will tell with these fellas - there is some talent there (and alot of assumed talent). The question is IF they win the GF,WILL they all play again ??? Our first and only div1 flag saw a mass exodus and retirements !!

The problem with rose park is an unfounded arrogance. Not yet guys, win the flag then get all cocky. No one remembers minor premiers.....

My tip is that there will be a big punch up on the ground V paravista. These are both teams that love to sledge, but dont seem to handle receiving it well. Rose park seem to complain on here about the sledging received too......wow, come on chaps.

My suggestion is to bring OGorman as 12th man on for the key wickets of the vista chaps. My advice for vista is to bring on Krafty for some devestation early.....use him wisely guys, his energy is exhausted very quickly with the furious action and threatening spin he exerts.

Good luck to all teams in all finals. Lets hope next year people are serious about the carnival and get behind GH to build a solid team. Lets also hope the exec have come up with a solution to keep the comp alive - will be interesting to hear them deliver the future plans that the sub committee has been working on???

keep on trucking . toot toot !

hahaha, classic case of sour grapes..... love it!

dont seem to handle recieving the sledging? which Fitzroy assoc player (so called batter), gave out some sledging while in the field, then when he batted and got a sledging himself basically cried next to his mummy, also heard another fitzroy player while batting and had no idea how to use a bat took a little bit of sledging to heart and cried to the umpire about it........

, gave out some sledging while in the field, then when he batted and got a sledging himself basically cried next to his mummy, also heard another fitzroy player while batting and had no idea how to use a bat took a little bit of sledging to heart and cried to the umpire about it........

Same bloke didnt even field the first week after Fitzroy got bowled out. Bit rich from the young man, no reason not to field! Not like he had a long stay at the batting crease, duck i think it was
I wish I was as good a cricketer as what Phantom tells me he is

You got a fair bit to say about the rep side & the blokes who've got the balls to put themselves up for selection at that level, so assuming that you're all up to the challenge, I look forward to all of your 'personalities' coming out to training next season. Reckon we can fill half the plane tickets to Melbourne... ;)

So how many runs you reckon you'll all combine for in the GF? If the scoreboard is ticking over as quickly as the shit flowing from your collective gobs, we could be in for a record C&CCA score at Casa Da Postage` Stamp.

Yes mate. Hope Valley use the turf deck where St.Pauls Old Scholars use to play footy, and further parallel to that there is a Hard Wicket Oval that is easy to access from Lurline Avenue.

PG you're in my neighbourhood too then, and that qualifies you to the same contract I'm on ;)

You may rise now, young pie chucker...

Rip the ol' fishing barb out again, awfully original. Hope I didn't detect some sooking there?? Don't be goin' off sooking to Mama Pie now, that'd be the ol' pot & the kettle now, wouldn't it?? ;) I'll be there at every training, like I have every year for the last 7, but of course you'd already know that. ;) Open invite to the first 4 or so, so there's no excuse. If I can sacrifice my fishing, I'm sure you can too.. Anyway, what I'd give to have the choice of half a side of pie men to choose from to fill one spot at the Nationals, especially later in the week. 8)

Not sour at all mate, we should never have played finals so an extra game was a bonus. Sour would be losing the GF .

And why dont you pick on men if you sledge, rather than kids. The so called sledging from the so called batter is hardly even worth noticing - cmon. Opportunists......

toot toot.
