there would be bowlers that trouble batters, ask JB the straight one gets him all the time... and yes it obviously help with a ball that moves but theres players such as sampson, murphy, hopkins, j.mccormack that would and do get wickets without swing. From my experience playing with and against j.mccormack he does not swing the ball he cuts it and bowls in the right areas for a long period of time, and thats how he banks on getting his wickets! that fair call JB, Jibba, the sarge??
having ur shirt tucked in doesn allow u too shine the ball, lol ur hilarious AF!!![/quote]
There was no joke in there champ. If you were a Rambler I'd teach you how to shine a ball. Without it I'd be chucking pies...
Hopkins gets wickets with outswing. Murphy used to get them with pace, now not sure how he gets em really. Never had the pleasure of facing McCormack and I dunno what Sampson bowls. Drenthen is more dangerous than those blokes anyway - if he's on target. Pace and swing. If McKinley learnt to swing a ball he'd be a superstar in our comp. Never seen a bowler who can repeatedly cut the ball on hard wicket but I'd agree it's better than swing.
And Giersch can hit a ball. Have been on the receiving end myself this year. Two sixes over cover is never a great way to start the first spell of the day. 20/20 was worse.
Drenthen isn't half the bowler Sampson is AF. Sampson is the best bowler in the comp by a mile IMO. He swings the ball a little but he hits the deck really hard and moves the ball of the pitch and bowls a fantastic line and length. Drenthens pace can no doubt cause some problems and i am sure Daniel Rowe is one of the better bowlers in the comp.
