I think with Morphy Pk's batting you will need 225 on the board.

Ease up! 225 would normally beat us outright
6 runs was contributed by 4 of our top 7 batsmen last week.

As for our crowd, I can promise you that as it being my last week at the Club before I start a new career, I promise to keep them in check 8-} :partyman: %-(

I think they are generally in check Moe - might be the bloke behind the bar who needs his wings clipped!

It's a "Pitty" :D ( christ I'm funny ) Shane is injured McCoy me ol' cob, now we might have to put that old hack Danny Miller back in the A's.

IMO Bloods, I think the crazy declarations & outrights might happen next round. Round 10, win toss, bat all day & put the score on the board.

Moe - I had heard that Miller had broken down again? Any truth or is that a get out of training "injury"?

I noticed he 55 in the B grade last year out of his 6 hits or however many it was.
Im sure he would do extremely well in section 1, but saying he "has made runs" like you said and saying there is a difference between B grade and section 1, comes across to me that he has made a couple hundreds and scores at B grade district, not just one 50 last year.
Im not sure what he did two years, but it seems that his district results have been talked up a bit!!

Having another quality bat in the Sheidow side this year, would have IMO made them the favourite for the top 4 with 2 games to go. Altho they could still make it with Westminster and Coro to come!

CK, wouldnt playing a b grade semi final at the club that won the club championship speak for itself... you dont have to be a statistician to say the bloke would dominate sec1 asca...

i would actually go as far to say he is the most talented player in asca right now... i dont care that hes only playing sec4, having played cricket with him at Sacred Heart and against him when he was at West Torrens ive been lucky enough to see some of the better knocks, spells and catches i have seen in my time. and the reason why most of you wouldnt have heard of him before is because he only moved to Adelaide when he was 17 from Broken Hill

Im not denying he wouldnt dominate section 1. All im saying is sarge and yourself, saying he "has made runs at B grade" which IMO comes across that he has made a couple of tons and other scores, not just a once of score of 55. The reason of why people have not heard of him before is because he has only been a C grade district player with B grade games aswell, that is why. I dont think it has anything to do with moving to Adelaide 5 years ago or thereabouts.
Most people on this forum would have some knowledge of A grade district players, but not that great of knowledge on the levels below. Simple as that!

He has made more than one 50. before injuring his knee he had a good year with the bat in the B Grade and even played some A Grade 20/20 and 50 over games. I would kill for a B Grade 50 because it is hard to make runs there.

Wishful thinking Bloods ;) Keswick look the goods.

Very much wishful thinking RB but no harm in wishing they do us a favour.

If we win and they win we can still get top spot by beating them in the final minor round game so we will finish top, excluding any more outrights, if we win both our remaining games.

Association game has been transfered to a Turf ground on the request of Wayne Phillips. Was going to played at North Haven on the 28th of Feb. Think the turf boys were a bit worried as we smashed em there last time.

Cheers Moeman, for some agreeance!

Massive week ahead for all sides. Not just for the sides fighting for a finals spot, but for also the top and bottom sides. As bloods said, a big game for us this week, and one for Keswick aswell!!

Also a massive game for North Haven as they need to win this to have a chance to avoid the wooden spoon for the second year in a row. Also noticed they have been deducted a point. I do believe this is for the Paul Tam incident in which he played with no permit against the ramblers? Bazza/bloods confirm??

North Haven v Westminster in the last game of the year, be good to see NH beat South Road so it comes down to the final game to see who gets the wooden spoon!

I hope ICC do not make the finals for a couple reasons! 1. I hate them! 2. Their bowling is very dangerous and capable of destroying a side. However if we do come top and we are to advance to the final, there is no better side to knock out then ICC

He was never going to play until 1 hour before the game, one of our lads pulled out and I needed a player. He was good enough to say he would play cos he got rained out. I thought it would be OK cos he was a registered player and I talked to the association secretary beforehand about the same sort of issue and he wasnt sure what the ruling was. I told our sec and he was playing but he forgot to email Lawny. Nothing sinister in the incident, just trying to get 11 blokes on the field.

I understand that Bazza. But from the premiership table, it looks like you have been deducted a point?

Or he might be resting up from a best on ground performance last night RM!!

Speaking of last night - any surprises at selection?? Did "limpy" Miller get redrafted into the Section 1 side??

That same game Bazza if they stopped whinging about it and worried bout cricket they probably would had won. On the association side I cant see why people dont put there hand up for these games I understand that plenty of blokes have played a higher level and this doesnt interest them but must say i enjoyed it. More for the guys you play with was good to see a different side to blokes other then out in the centre defiantly wouldn't turn down the chance again

As for Danny "Pies" Miller, yep, back in the 1's!
Trained the house down.
Bowled 1 over of leg side crap, got out 27 times while batting & fielded like a lame sloth

Sure fits in with the rest of our A graders
