Is T-Bahr still playing?? I played against him years ago, was going grey then, he'd have more greys than richie benaud by now surely, that was back in the day when he and marty clifton were legends in their own lunchbox!!
And I bet the Inwoods are just taking the year off to eat

Lol george12! he must be 50 by now?? Noarlunga's players must be leaving as they are no longer good enough to compete with the better teams!! hence the reason there are rumors surrounding a move to the GSCA... I feel sorry for the new captain if T-Bar is still playing as there is no way he would be able to make his own decisions as T-Bar will be there pisn in his ear all the time!!
Who do people think are going to be competing for the flag this year? Most runs? and most wickets?

Some of you guys are either kids or just tools T Bahr is the best cricketer that has played in this comp for many years he is a winner and knows how to he is still a quality bowler and am sure he will rattle some helmets again this year. As for the club looking elswhere I am sure they are covering bases as the SCA has a lot of probs and may look at some sort of amalgamation with the GSCA.

Just a thought cyclops but if you are playing 2 one dayers over two weeks then what is the difference to playing 1 two dayer over the same two weeks. 75 overs each week is shorter than 80 overs (40 overs each innings for a 1 dayer). Yes the one dayer could finish earlier once a result was achieved but some teams play out the overs in 1 day cricket to get as many points as possible. The tempreature is still the same.

Guys play in the higher grades of SCA because the training commitment is not as much as district cricket.

Is the Dutchman looking at making a comeback??

Mate for 1 u dont have to be committed for 2 weeks and 2 who the hell wants to field for 75 overs in a day, stuff that.Hound tell me wot is the problem with having at least just 1 grade playing 1 dayers all summer, and not only this a win should just be a win ie-international 1 dayers, stuff playing for bonus points and all that crap, just 2 points for a win have a bit of fun with ya mates and go home.As i said if ya that serious play higher.I know wot the problem was it was because m/vale beat teams like shoes and the wineys easily and they were more serious than wot we were and they cant handle it.BRING BAK 1 DAYERS FOR 1 GRADE ONLY!

I have played against t bahr several times and with him a couple of times in association he is a very competitive person which is the reason people dont like him but from experience he is a good bloke to have on your team and a prick to play against but always good to have a beerwith after the game which is how it should be i am not liked on the field but will have a beer with anyone after the game

I actually agree that there should be a 1 day comp, it does keeps guys around, however it does not promote a club atmosphere because players finish early go home and not go back to the club. I was trying to raise ther fact that everyeone comes back with the length of a two day being a reason for not wanting to play them when in fact it is shorter than a 1 day game.

I can see where you are coming from in relation to standing in the field for 75 overs (it is a pain in the a%^& when you don't bowl sides out) but at least you get a chance to have a bowl and a bat, where as in the 1 day game you can only bowl 8 overs, don't get a bat if you have a gun side and the top order batsman are making all the runs. The 1 day stuff does not develop your juniors. I have seen the mighty powerful MVCC D grade in action in previous years.

wen u say the players dont hang around u speak for yor own club hound, coz at m/vale we use to go straight and watch wot eva game was played at m/vale,and getting to youre point about every1 getting a go well every1 in the m/vale d grade use too,we rotated it around every week, batting line ups, bowling line ups etc,and to the point of the powerful m/vale d grade, mate we didnt care wether we won or lost we were just there havn bit of a f#k around with our mates.

Youre right shoeboy...kids and muppets on here. This elbowsdeep character still must be playing Juniors or he wouldn't slag off a bloke whos won around 10 A Grade flags. How many have u won mate..im guessing nowhere near that and youre not likely to either.
As for Noarlunga not being competitive anymore...lol youre a f%^kin joker, didnt they win a flag last season and played finals in every grade, and didnt they also win club of the year? how did ur club go? Pull YOUR head in elbowsdeep before u post such crap..i wouldnt have bothered responding if i thought this was a wind up but its obvious ur jealous of t bahr cause he is a better cricketer than you and of Noarlunga's achievements over the last 5 years.
Noarlunga want to go to Great Southern cause it would be more competitive than Southern. Since Reynella have left its only really Seaford, Cove, Porties and Noarlunga that are strong throughout most grades and field the most teams.

Couldn't agree more cyclops.
He's rubbed a lot of people the wrong way over the years but no one can doubt his cricketing ability.
