If tucker goes to rapid bay then that would be another club ticked off in the league. Maybe aiming to get them all ticked by the time he retires.

Any news on what's been going on aldinga. Hearing players are walking out on the club no ones semmelweis to know why? Can a.chucka shed some like on the reasoning behind the deparures?

Who will be taking the captaincy at goolwa with Andy being out with a knee op?

season predictions anyone

Im thinking the ladder after the minor rounds will look something like this.

Compass- Always have a strong competitive side, will be jostling for top
McLaren-Have a great inclusion in chambers, a rumour hatji maybe leaving, maybe short in bowling stocks
Enc Bay- Always have a strong side, with butler and moules and lintern, as well as good bats, will be right up there.
Willunga- Reigning premiers, but captaincy change might affect the "MOJO" of the team.
Port Elliot-Should be up there in contention for a finals spot, Batting line up as fragile as an Old man's spine though.
Aldinga-Depending on whetether bryce plays will struggle.
Goolwa- No Evans, No Goolwa???? will be interesting.....
Rapid Bay- Have a handful of good players the rest are scraps though.

Very early in the year to call yet WIW.

Can anyone shed some light on the goings on at Aldinga? a. chucka?? No posts since Chee Quee's a few days ago.

Rumours abound re; departures. A few to Rapid Bay. A few elsewhere.

McLaren's may get a needed boost to their bowling stocks yet.

s.traplino, m.francshini, c.thomas and that spinner that makes moller look like steven smith against shane warne will have the rapids bowling stocks looking good. but batting wise i think they are as fragile as goolwa is a cricket club. then again ive been talking it up for years now but someone has to make this topic controversial. also whats interesting is cammy not skip of ebay ?? work commitments or just stepping down to pave way for future stars to emerge. good to hear vales have covered the loss of gianni with the signing of chambers but can he bowl the same line and length as the star himself when it matters. heres my thought of finishing places

Mt Compass- always a strong club bat deep and have heaps of bowling stocks to worry any.
Ebay- with losses like edwards, harrison, lintern and less games to super quick moules will they be able to cover it. My answer is yes they bat deep they bowl deep so theyll be around the mark this year.
Vales- with losses like gianni who knowshow theyll go but if im going on the word of the bodestar himself look for them to poll wins early and fall away late in the season.
Elliot- had a solid preseason with batting clinics and a solid bowling line up look for them to improve on last year,
Rapids- have had a solid recruitment period in the off season but theyll need more than bennett to make their runs
Goolwa - everyone says no EVANS no GOOLWA but theyre my dark horse this year. some massive responsiblity to the other quiet ones this year.
Willunga- Lost too many wont do well
Dingy- also the same have lost too many and will be easy points this year.

opinions will be great

Interesting post Bloods... about as insightful as they get. Interesting remarks on Willunga, any chance you could give us a list of those lost players because I'd be very interested to read about that! Surprising to see you've predicted Pt Elliot to finish 4th... normally you'd have them in at least the top 2. Something happen over the pre season with those batting clinics to suggest otherwise?

Willunga have lost 3 players to Cove in ASCA. All three of them have the last name Woods.

Hello everyone, new season few rumours going around!!

Big news at Enc Bay is that Timmy Kov is the new catpain of their A grade, any truth in this?? :-o

Please lets not talk of the past Benny Blom is R.I.P. and waz my first senior Captain!!!

Waz at Mc Laren Vale on Saturday good game of cricket in the end, didnt change the result but having to umpire your own game...that sucks!!!!
Looked like the Districts boys didnt enjoy batting second in fading light, with a certain "Wild thing" bowling out of the trees  :D

good luck this year fans, stay solid!!!

Umpiring our own A grade game was the pits. But it may happen a bit more often seeing as Rory Kappler took 4/3 on the weekend and Trevor Ifould is taking this season off. I'm told we have 4 so hopefully they can stick through the whole season!

unfortunate that this is the case.
Although I think that in A Grade we are all honest enough to make the right calls in regards to sportsmanship within the league.

Interesting games coming up this week

Seen some low scores in the Elliot V Goolwa game this week Faramir, was it a case of the same old elliot in the batting department with their bowling as good as any team in the league, but the batting very very fragile?????

Faramir, who are the 4 umpires?? Would have thought if there was 4, then ALL A grade games would have seen an umpire provided.

Certainly agree that all teams would do the right thing, but how many guys playing (inexperienced or not) have actually had to umpire? No doubt mistakes will be made, and these mistakes will only be highlighted when you have to umpire yourselves.

Yes Tony, a real sense of humour shown by Num on Saturday. Waited til about 5pm on an overcast day until he brought young Ziggy on!! Struggled to even see Nummy's nude nuts, let alone the fizzers passed your ears!!
