Not only did motion 5 not get up, it was further away from getting through than last year. Good result IMO.

Congrats to bazza for getting awarded playing life membership

Keswick, And a host of the smaller clubs. Not sure on the other section 1 clubs

Morphys, plympton, ramblers and wyc were all against together it again

I think pretty much all of the larger clubs (4 or more teams) voted it down apart from Keswick of course and it was good to see that clubs were passionate about it and made sure that they had most if not all available votes at the meeting.

Didn't see Sheidow as they were around the corner, good to see South Road with the full 8 votes, ANA was a surprise to see voting yes for the keswick comp.

Lets hope now that this has been shot down twice that it doesn't need to be brought up again and again and again.

I noticed sheidow only had 5 out of a possible 12 votes and they have now only got 5 sides (I'm pretty sure they had 6 teams last year)..

Atleast we can get on with the year and now get the draw asap and start planning for the year...

I think Sth Road and the real Coro, jokes ramblers boys, voted against it too.

I noticed AF has no control of some of his members when they were trying to vote against the clubs direction. Good to see he was quickly pulled into line though :D :D .

Pretty sure Sheidow nominated 6 teams again CK, I was only on my 3rd beer so I am sure I heard correctly.
By the way, how did Craig Lawn vote for Motion 5? I was too busy trying to get Tubby's attention while he was sussing out the nibbles for later on ;)

Moe sheidow definitely nominated 5 sides for the upcoming season. Maybe 3 beers is all you can handle nowadays.

Pretty sure Craig Lawn voted in favour of motion 5.

That is what happens when you are forced to bring "chimps" to meetings as the committee all can't make it.

Noticed the Belair boys voting in favour ofmotion 5. Must prefer playing section 2. Some good amunition there when we play them first time around...

Didn't they ask to not be promoted but have to due to WOS folding? If they did it's no surprise they voted in favour of it.
Bit of a rivalry with ramblers and Belair aswell this year, think they have some affiliation with each other..

On that note, what clubs play for trophies with others?

Assuming that is named after a past player/administrator of both clubs?

Pretty sure Craig Lawn voted in favour of motion 5.

Sheidow went in wanting 6 teams so would be very surprised if someone has overruled the committee on that nomination

I am positive the person last night said that they would only be fielding 5 teams this year. They were right behind me.

Might be best to check with Craig Lawn and see what he has recorded.

Maybe Jim is making my recollection a little hazy :D

We must of heard wrong bloods, although we did comment at the time thinking it was weird that Sheidow had dropped a side when we had heard of the numbers they had last year
