Not just the usual drop catch, making ducks, not walking through the gate, etc etc, they became ruthless and started fining guys for making 50s/100s, punching gloves, rubbing after being hit, getting dropped by the opposition, making the teams 50th run, 100th run, 150th run etc etc, having your girlfriend rock up, cuddling your gf was a bigger fine, and we'd usually make the biggest C**t the fine master and he'd fine ya for anything and everything. Needless to say our final years drinks were big.

We appoint a fine master during Carnivals, who collect on the standard penalties; normal duck $2, goldy $5, $10 diamond, $2 both players involved in each run out, dropped catches $2, 'keeper catches $3, d!ckhead comment of the day, softc0ck efforts, wides, byes, no balls, white-out in the scorebook ( ;) ), $10 for our All-Aust honours recipients, and anything else the fine master can think of. :D

During the country carnivals, both batsmen for B&D used to get fined if one of them faced out a maiden, so you had to be backing the f**k right up when that 6th ball was delivered. Caused a few run outs over the years.. ;) Freebag Friday was an annual feature (except the keeper & when batting), which was always the morning after we spent the fine money, usually feeling fairly ordinary. :ymsick:

Some good ones there too GH. A new one my team mates designed to sting me and other bats was the Picket Fence fine. Once a batsman had generated 4 singles in a row he had to break that up with either a 2,3,4 or 6. If not it was $2 and then $2 for every single after that until he broke the cycle! Well it's pretty fair to say my batting style is the complete opposite of smasha's and one day I was lucky to get a few. Well our c**t of a finemaster greeted me after my innings with "Well batted, and by the way you owe $40!" But in fairness he did fine the smasha types if they got off the mark with a six as that was classed as arrogance.

Baldo - Long on, Cow corner, In front of square-all on the boundary. Think weve finally worked out how to bowl to him to atleast try and reduce the damage. Number one bowler in the comp.
Auto - Coulda been a fairly decent batter if he didnt keep getting out all the time. Likes to have a laugh out in the middle.
BB - Absolute gun on his day. With a new boat wont be long before he hangs up his swastika.
Plucca - took a 5fa against us one-day, a few LBW's and bowled. Think our batters were playing for loopy spin when we shoulda been getting in behind it.
Barge - Respected opponent. Think he tries to bowl too short these days tho.
Pidge - Has invented and copyrighted his own running style. Improving every year, probably needs a bit of spunk in him.
Hoddo - Didnt realise how good he is till this year.

I'll attempt one for us.

We're 3-3 at the moment. Sitting 3rd.

We've got a reasonably young team this season, but we're doing better than expected at the halfway mark imo..

Loechel is having a great year with the bat. 'Hollywood' is starting to hit form after a slow start. Auto just keeps on doing his thing.
Everyone is chipping in with the ball, which is great.

Plenty of good signs going into the second half of the season, where hopefully we can secure a spot in the top 4 and play finals.
