had a look down mofflin reserve saturday and saw andrew 'wishart' martin was umpiring... doing a good job, called a few dead balls due to it hitting the crack in the middle of the pitch.. no worries. some time later, one, J.Nuske was given out caught behind after a massive deviation from the crack in the middle of the pitch. 'wishart' was only to apologise at drinks after talking to the square leg umpire (whilst Nuske was walking off) agreeing it hit the middle of the pitch?.. how is this guy umpiring grade 1... he should stick to singing.

number 2, had a look at Justin Carman first hand and whats the fuss over this guy? sent down some serious garbage, if he bowls like that for the rest of the year he'll be in the D grade at Angle Vale... absolute tripe, straight up and down at a gentle pace.

and lastly johnathon pogas hit miles picton for a zack only to say to the CU captain next over to bowl slow bowlers coz he is having trouble picking the ball up? pull your lid in pogas, i think he needs to enter a room full of mirrors and have a good hard look at himself.

Ever tried your hand at umpiring? You do know that umpiring at this level you don't have the benefit of calling for a replay?? And that all decisions are made within a tiny time-frame of thinking. I have umpired both cricket and football and I can tell you as a human, I have made some seemingly bad decisions through not having the time to think things through. Umpires are only human. Whether paid or unpaid, team mate or neutral, our game wouldn't be played without them.

And please, tell us a bit about your stella career?

You could see the deviation from the the boundary! not one to talk about myself but i can comfortably say i'd slap you to all parts of the ground... you know what they say about umpires... they umpire for a reason (bad at sprot).

i though he umpired ok, did get one decision wrong, but really, 1 bad call doesnt warrant a serve like that, you could get coxy or frank brown to replace him... i know who id prefer... and he can sing too...

We had Andy for the Gardens game, I rate the bloke. Thought he kept a reasonable grip on the game when things got a little heated, all decisions were consistant and was able to have a laugh with the players. I can definately say that I have had worse.
Whilst you're laid up with a gimpie leg Frothies why don't you have a word with Bagster and offer you services with the counter in hand - it's blatantly obvious from your posts that United aren't getting the rub of the green this season.

Wow. Arrogance at it's best there! You don't even know who I am and you're flapping your lips. You must be good though, your side(salisbury north?) has won 1 game and been a cellar dweller in grade 1 for a few seasons now and are struggling big time in grade 2. Wish I was as good as you ;S

I agree, the game should've been called off a fair bit earlier. Ash was sensational, hit's the ball hard and would've gained some confidence, we bowled our bowlers too long, gave you guys too many deliveries to get used of the bowling and dodged a bullet with Moss and Tuckwell getting late wickets.

i think you said we lost 5/0 at one point. Thats been the story of our season unfortunately. Ah well, was good to put a decent total on the board. Looking forward to the last game of the minor rounds ;-)

Good to see the PDca under 21s stay around for presentation.

Absolute joke of an association side who couldn't stay around for presos despite winning the game

I definately wasnt complacent, im too experienced for that sh!t. Maybe some of our bowlers and fieldsmen were'nt quiute as switched on as they should have been and perhaps it was due to your batsmen boring them to tears in the first 20 overs. (-| It was quite evident very early that you guys were waiting for the rain just so you didnt rack up another loss. Sure we were hot favourite with LM the bookie and everyone else but Its a 50/50 game every time two teams walk on the field. Why not back yourselves, have a crack and go for the win?
