I don't know i think we do that pretty well. We did cop a bit from the morphy pk crowd though, although most of it was in good taste.

Ah yes, our home game followers. Love em.

Still love the round 6 game where a Panorama bowler bowled 29 overs from one end. Some young scallywag yelled out just before his 25th "Bowlers name?"
Even they found that funny.

At least our home crowd will never be as bad as Hectorville, many seasons ago. I am sure some of you remember travelling out there!

Can someone from Plympton confirm your Section 5 side is now playing at Marion Primary, not Warradale per the Handbook? Thanks.

 Perfectly summed up there Bay Boy. Have you played them yet? they have a young fella (simmering it might be?) that has followed his lead.. Cant believe it happens in any level of senior cricket! Juniors understandable but seniors seriously..

Altho when we did play Plympton in rd 5, Tony Fromene did ask Hoppy if he wanted Giersch to put the thigh pad on the inside. Hoppy just laughed and said, seriously he does it all the time, theres no good telling him to do put it away!

If Giersch is too need a runner, all visible protective gear worn by the injured batsman must be worn by the runner. As the runner, you wouldnt be happy having to wear the thigh pad on the outside!!

When I played for ICC (inception to 2000) nearly every game was a sledgefest because everyone hated our guts.
I can understand why as there were quite a few indoor warriors confused with outdoor etiquette.
I think the seasoned outdoor cricketers had a bit of respect and tried to make it rub off on the others, but it was an uphill battle, so I can understand other teams having a short fuse with "some" of the players back then.
The name ICC Sharks made me cringe in 1995 and it still does.

What are peoples tips for this round of games?

I think the race for 4th spot may well be down to 3 after this round.

With the games:

Ramblers v Keswick
WYC v Sheidow
ANA v South Rd
Morphy Pk v Coro
ICC v WOS
Plymton v North Haven

If Ramblers lose, then it will pretty much keep many teams still in the hunt mathematically. Having said that, the run home for some teams does make it a bit harder! If Ramblers lose and Morphy Pk and ICC win, then they put themselves within a game of Ramblers. Coro and Sheidow have the ability to be able to take over from Ramblers in 4th spot also! We may be down 3 teams in the race, but in the same token, there could be some interesting results that allow more to be able to still be in the race! If Ramblers get over Keswick, then that limits the number of teams able to chase them down to make the 4!

I wouldnt be writing off all teams just yet, as recent results have shown that anything can happen in a game! At the moment, each game played is as important as any other. It is fun to speculate on what may or may not happen, but I have a feeling that the 4th spot will not be known until the completion of the final round!

AB -they tell me that Morphy's Section 4 side also has a rather unorthodox spin bowler. Can you shed any light in him?

I thought you might have been referring to Doubleday from Keswick. Perhaps not the best batsman the comp has seen, but in over 200 games of cricket I dont think I have seen a more consistent striker of the ball.
