I’m not sure if that ladder is entirely right Carey, if Paralowie does sneak in, best of luck in finals, but I can tell you we as a club are still very disappointed at the deduction of 3 points for an unregistered player (which we have appealed) as far as we were concerned was registered. It has me baffled at why it took the Association 4 games to inform us we were playing a cricketer that has only ever played at Fitzroy, that they had not received his details for the season (hence the 3 point deduction.)

Even if we were informed after two games, that would only of been a 1 point deduction, as we would of re sent the information as we have done with other players when notified.

NEK batted last week and made 280. Fitzroy batted yesterday and made 190. With 8 overs left in the day NEK batted again and made 0/45.

Fitzroy have lost quite a few in recent years but that is no excuse junior. We put sub standard teams on the park in the first half of the year and when we started getting better teams together still didnt play good cricket so there are no excuses. In actual fact we probably dont deserve a spot in the finals. Good luck to the other teams. My prediction is NEK over Vista by 3 runs in the GF.

I agree with you auto, except the bit about not deserving a finals spot, without the 3 point deduction their would be no issue, I find it hard to believe no other club did not have issues with player registration, and if so I bet they would of been notified a lot earlier than after the player had played four games, something we will certainly be bringing up. Also not getting any play in against Morialta certainly did cost us.

Mr O'Brien, clearly you are losing your memory in your twilight years..
1. I seldom pick myself in any rep sides, i believe there are far greater players running around.
2. Nothing against Hoddo, but the question was posed team of THIS year, unfortunately i dont believe last seasons semi qualifies as "This year".
3. Have played Div 1, incase you forgot, when i left Enfield it was off to Morialta..
4. Didnt leave Enfield and take the players, i was at Morialta on my own, they all left of their own accord and at the last minute i chose to join them.
5. Gully will leave, no reason for him to stay at a sub standard, selfish club.
6. Im very happy to see Enfield doing well this year, i hold no hard feelings, i would just have liked a bit more support from the club back in the day.
7. Enjoyed my time at Central Mission this season, they are in good sted for next season, i want to play Div 1..

So before you jump on here and begin rubbishing me perhaps you need to think a bit more about what your saying..
