raise it to $1500 like the rest for sign on ?????

Jeez some blokes on here really seem to have some inside information that the committee and players at GCCC dont have access to regarding how much we are paying players...

Lets be honest anyone who is paying players in country cricket a sign on fee or paying them anything other than performance based incentives probably has too much money or not enough sense

and while on that topic, how much was offered to Alastair Crothers to have a hit at Sandy?

Incentives, the same as everyone else.
Back to the creek it is.

Ango started training this week and had good numbers both Sunday and Tuesday, hopefully continues on Thursday and forward. A few new faces which will be handy but a big inclusion will be Jason Zanotti who looked extremely comfortable against the quicks last night in the nets. Needed to strengthen the top order and may have found a player to fill this roll...Watch this space....

It would seem that GC have said McLean wont be paid and so has he!! That should put paid to those rumours surely. As for a "bitter source", some need to read their own posts and the comments they make about other clubs etc!

Must agree with you there under the pack, have been extremely happy with numbers so far and its been a long time little angaston has had someone like zanotti come of the street and want to find a cricket club, bout time we had some luck. Doesn't bowl a bad leggie aswell, little bit excited by it all. Bring on october 8th. =)

I think the word you're looking for is "throw". I'm not tied in with either GC or your club, so consider myself impartial. Just read through your comments over the last few months to refresh your memory about snide remaks you have made to GC and their members, then see if I have done similiar. Try dealing in factual matters. Enough said.
By the way, on the topic of GC, can anyone give an infomed opinion on the injury to King? Is it going to affect his/their season??

In the local paper it stated Kingy received a severe knee injury which will also end his cricket season. If thats the case i would hazard a guess at a knee recon is needed.

Have heard King needs a full reconstruction and is done for this cricket season.
Sad for him, he is a competitive bloke and would hurt him to be away from the game.
As for Ango, could be a very solid year for the lads, plenty of competition for spots,
Even Kurtz is out for pre-season training after spending the last 3-4 Octobers and Novembers overseas.
Add young Jack Miles and some returning superstars to the mix and you have your early season favorites.
Get on board the Lovecats bandwagon.

Hearing the BLCA Chief was seen at Sports Power today being fitted for an umpires outfit.
Suggest there would be a few players not wanting to be struck anywhere near the pads.
Are you prepared to pay the price? WILL YOU PAY THE PRICE?
