Whilst I do hope you are proven right being an "Old Shoe", but that is a ridiculous statement..
Like the old saying goes... Only 2 things in life are certain... Taxes and death..

Wrong, there are three certainties ---- Taxes, death, and Noarlunga's 2009/10 Premiership.
All that remains now is to see whether Port or Cove get into the Grand Final with them.

Well you may have just invented a 4th... Kiss of Death....
I hope SB doesn't know where you live if things go pear shape in March for them BTP..

I don't beieve in the Kiss Of Death --- only an occasional coincidence. Shoe Boy knows where to find me, but I'm sure he knows that players make Premierships, not tipsters

What are people's thoughts on the Program of 4 x 2 Day Games 6 x One Day Games and then 2 x Two Day Games?

I play for a C Grade side and it is very hard in 70 overs of cricket to get everyone involved and as it happened on the weekend a couple blokes only got to field as we only lost 6 wickets and then the situation of the game didn't allow us to chuck the ball to a couple guys that were likely to go for runs if given the chance.

I have no problem with splitting the season into Two Day Games and One Day Games but it needs to be a better spread rather than 3 blocks.

If you want to be "picky", as from next Friday the 90's are two decades ago.
And as for "colliwobbles" they won a third in a row just a couple of seasons back. That's after the 90's by the way.
Shoes are still my tip and I'm sticking with it.

Turned up last night at the club and great to see big numbers on the track!!

When I gave the heads up re 40+ temps for w/end it did not go down well and the old story of junior cricket having same temp as seniors as they do play in the morning.

Could the juniors play fri night if the temp was not above 38???

If you are looking for some entertainment on Saturday night after a hard day of NO cricket due to the heat. Live Saturday night down at the SHOE kicking off from around 8pm....NEW DAY RISING, playing a mix of FooFighters, Grinspoon, Greenday and the like...NO cover charge and always low price beverages from the bar. As always, should be a good night with Animal on the drums.
