Nah booney we are just good blokes and all the other teams want to hang out with Benny Mac, Kingy and Jake and our resident Gnome.

In between the dribble, perhaps someone would like to comment on the rise and fall of south road. Look set for demotion back to section 2 IMO. Coromandel will get over them.

Why have they lost so many players? Hartlett obvious and Rossi retired, but the others?

Weren't they very lucky to stay a couple of years back when Panorama kept themsleves out of Section 1?

Yes Panorama did allow them to stay that year but they went down later anyway. Recruited well and got back to sect 1 but now lost them all in 1 season. I saw D.Williams batting 4 on the scorecard...What is going on? He was only ever a no. 9 years ago.

it doesn't take a brain surgeon to work out u lose 3 association batsman your going to struggle to post a defendable target especially when u didn't have the best bowling attack in the first place. now lets get back to the dribble...

Add to that they lost their captain from last year who was also a good bat. T Williams and Peterson aren't getting any younger and they were important to their attack last year as well as Stanley who has gone walkabout. Any side losing that much in such a short space of time will struggle to remain competitive.

WYC 8/150 J Whenan 50 and D Whenan 26 defeated Sth Rd 72 A Wilson and B Coles 13 each. R Hopkins 3/13. A very good performance by our boys in the mickey mouse cup some outstanding fielding with a spectacular catch and two direct hit runouts making it hard for south rd to get any partnerships together.
No wonder they wanted to toss the coin ;) .

i think geoff stanley is playing in the c grade with his brother.

my tip for the the final four.

icc
wyc
plympton
glenelg ana

keswick could knock out plympton or glenelg.

Glenelg have a very competitive side and are coming good at the right time.

I agree JB i think ICC and Sheidow are the two certanties and Plympton, WYC, Ramblers, Glenelg and Keswick are playing for the other two spots IMO.

I think WYC and Glenelg will get the two spots with Glenelg getting an outright this week against Sth Rd to be within striking distance next year.

for those who dont know who they are j maca has bowled about 40 overs for about 70 runs so far this year, back next game, foster is the under 21 spinner and our no. 4 bat, back next game, clements was pivotal to our success last year bowling tight at the death and bowled 30 overs in sec2 last week taking 4 for 50 back later in the year, cameron is our fastest bowler can clock em in the 120s when he bends his back and made 150 on the weekend in the lower grades, back when he gets his confidence back...
