p.s who the f#@k is kraft?

HAHAHA Nigel Kraft = BB's most formidable opponent haha! Nigel is a bloke from P.V on their "help the community program" where they take in someone earning less than 100k per year. He bowls umm spin i think you call it! usually plays in their lower grades, i think if you look back far enough through the pages there is a couple of funny posts with him involved, 1st is a pic of him batting (thigh pad on wrong side) and the other him getting out the great BB. :) worth the watch ROFL!

Page 81, Krafty playing a wonderfull cover drive hehe.

Also youtube look up Krafty's bunny

It is indeed the same. The difference from last season though is they have disposed of some negative waste from their club and a rebuilding, they have also completely merged with Marion C of C. Last season Marion played under the Betania banner as their b grade but were a completely seperate side.

Last year was disappointing definately and what they did was ordinary but its good to see Bruno working hard to ressurect the clubs name and reputation with the help of Brett MacTavish.

Used to like playing agaisnt Marion years ago, were a good bunch of guys except the bloke who came in around 4 or 5 and tryed to hit everyball into next week!. Had a few run in,s with Betania over the years with Croydon and the Paralowie. Boffa and myself nearly came to blows a few time. Only bloke i no who would sky a ball then run at the fielder under it, yelling out crap

In addition to his 120-130-odd matches in the lower grades and over 100 poles, Krafty has about 280 practice scalps over the years, hard earnt at the hallowed nets of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Primary School. He claims to own the a$$es of Club past'n present stalwarts, Weinert and Cossens, who according to him, he has dismissed the most at training over his 13-14 years at Para Vista. On the school roof is six and out down at 'Vista's.. :) Nigel often talks about his one and only A Grade appearance in the 2007/2008 season and adding yet another bunny to his ever-expanding hit-list. Nigel once bench-pressed 10 kilo's on the bar after 2 beers at a Grand Final celebration. Krafty doesn't earn over 100K p.a., but his speedometer often hovers around the same number and he considers red lights to be a great nuisance on the road..  Act without decisiveness in front of his slow & wobbling left-arm hand-grenades, or as a pedestrian in his neighborhood at your own peril. 8)

why dont we go for an ideal competition instead of "ifs' and "buts"???

i can tell you that we, at the start of every season, would say we are capable of filling at least 3 teams, probably 2 of them A-grade, with a myriad of players who will all top the charts. The reality is that we havent done this, and our Div3 team has struggled. Do we tell the exec that "hey, we will have a solid div3 team next year"given we ..have struggled for the past 2? we should be relegated because we finished bottom.

For every example you have to support your "intentions" of making the comp even and fair, i could cite several against where it has failed. Sorry mate.

When the rules are in place, there is no dispute. As phantom said, reward for success, demotion for failure. Simple rule....no misinterpretations.

heres another one for ya......lol.......do we follow the Suburban format of making Div 1 more overs, diff starting time etc. i quite like the idea. thoughts all ???

With strong opinions like that, I think it is about time you joined the exec committee, BB. ;)

lol.....i dont think my diplomacy tactics will be well received 8) . Any way, i would be pushing for Sat/Sun finals, reserve days on Sundays etc etc.....i would be burnt at the stake by the old timers.

im not the only one with strong opinions, im the only one that chooses to voice them.

Out of interest do we have a player of the year? Who won last year? Does it count finals or not? Whose a chance to win this year?

There are only batting/bowling/fielding trophies, which do not include finals.

Wow tough one.. Shaun Holland would have to be a major chance, all aussie cap, Paralowie captain & backbone, made runs, taken wickets.

Pidge would rate highly on my count, leading wicket taker, still only young, performing out of his skin.

Millsy consistantly making runs..

Cossens all aussie cap, making runs, consistant performer

Probably be my top four from mind, cant really think of a great stand out apart from them.

Too many lines I can't use here.. ;)

All I can say Hendo is make sure you have a crowbar handy next year mate, coz you might need one to prise these 2 apart at various stages of the season..

Ok no need to be like that! Just speak the truth, and have respect for Dutchy and the effort he puts in!

I challenge anyone to argue that what i say isn't true.. you tell me why not i'll tell you why.

Week in weekout makes runs, takes wickets, leads a side that has seldom 11 players, made the all aussie side.

I respect his commitment and his heart to the game..

My tip for MVP is either A.Frith or Mills. Most consistent over the whole season in my opinion. No disrespect to Pidgey, but there has not really been any stand-out bowler this season.

No need to get on ya soapbox about Dutchy mate, I'd boof him too if I could lure you away.. :P =))
