You drew the short straw. You got the good game out of every 25.

Nth Haven took advantage of it to their credit, although i feel they threw a few wickets away at the end thankfully. They ended up with 229 and we are 2/55. Will be an interesting chase for us next week the outfield is lightning quick and also very difficult to field on, i don't remember it being that bad(bazza?).

CK finally starting to look good with 33* so far, only a hundred to go hopefully.

CK did hit the highest ball i have ever seen yesterday, only went 20 metres from the bat and the bloke camped underneath it missed it by 2 metres, the breeze was very difficult. CK and Pressy were half way back for the 2nd before the ball hit the deck.

I'd put this down to him training with the Sheidow boys all last week we obviously gave him some proper cricketing tips :D He bowled well last week in the nets to us boys good to see him in form but he can have a lapse next week.

Russ Hewitt twice this year has called bouncers from Kurt as 'no-balls' (in seperate games). Both were over the batsmen's head by a fair way, but still 'hitable', no other deliveries in those overs were short/bouncers. I thought these would be called wides?
Yesterday i faced a D.Sampson over and ducked 4 bouncers in a row, all were legitimate, well directed deliveries (not as high as kurts, but all around head high or just over). How is that not 'intimidating' the batsmen?

We actually looked the rule up earlier in the season if the bowl is above the batsmens head it should be called a wide because if the batsmen makes an attempt and hits it, its then deemed a hitable delivery no matter what the shot, but there is no rule to say you cant bowl 6 bouncers in an over as that one surprised us too maybe that should be brought up at the AGM.

Sheidow Pk could be sitting in 4th spot if they get the outright win against morphies and the ramblers lose to south rd......................makes the chase for the ramblers even more important.

Looks like there may be a little more life left in the finals race than i had given hope of.

Coro and Plympton result will also be interesting a slight chance for an outright there as well i would think.

Makes it much more interesting thats for sure.

it is in the rules of cricket not in our handbook. has anyone looked there for the actual rule?

Unless Ramblers get up this week, i cant see them making it with the tough run home. However if they do make it, they deserve it because it would include wins over Keswick and/or Glenelg ANA.

I like the look of your ladder Bloods but it will be pretty unlikely that we finish top unless we get lucky with ANA dropping a game or two!

Will indeed be an interesting finish to the season!!! I like the look of that final 4 Bloods, but I honestly think it is still wide open! It could come down to games in the last round as Plympton, Coro, Morphy Park, ICC and Sheidow all have a chance to finish in the 4. While Morphy Park have lost this game on 1st innings, will be interesting to see their mind-set in 2nd. They may try put a score on the board and make us chase to get 2nd innings points. They then have Coro, Ramblers and South Road to finish off with. If they win all 3, they too could jump Ramblers.

Plympton have North Haven, Keswick and ICC.

Coro have Morphy Pk, WYC and us.

ICC have WOS, ANA and Plympton.

We have WYC, WOS and Coro.

If Ramblers do get up, i feel the way to catch them will be to either win all 3 remaining, or have an outright result somewhere in 2 wins to make it. For us Sheidow boys, this week will be another test to back up before having a big game against the WYC boys in what is shaping to be a very good contest.

More interesting I think will be your boys midset with the declaration. Will you bat us out of the game or declare overnight (just a question, not fishing for information)? Honestly surprised you didn't declare when you went past and have a crack at us last week. With the day we had it could have been nearly all over by stumps.

I think Sheidow batting past and getting 70 in front on day 1 was smart. Rules out the chance IMO of giving any points to Morphies but still gives them a great chance of an outright victory.

Will be interesting for sure ...

Just wondering what the record for most runs in a season is? Is J.Bennett for shiedow on 710 runs with 3 games left plus finals including 5 tons, 4 of them in a row any chance? Considering a duck and a missed game it is a massive effort! Seeing him first hand the boy can bat and seems like a good bloke.

I think Shiedow have batted them selves out for an outright, would like to think that the Morphy boys would make a little more than 105 2nd time round.
Shiedow should have of declared 20 runs in front and then had another crack at Morphy's that night while they were down.
With Morphy's needing some points, who knows the captain may have done a sporting declaration and given Shiedow a target to chance for an outright and also giving Morphy's a chance for some points.
