Rose Park to beat a very undermanned Paralowie.
As far as their concerned....its footy season!!

Sorry boys, i know im going to offend 99% of you but
NEK to beat Fitzroy.

So based on this, Rose park to make the 4 by less than half a point (unless Paralowie forfiet
which is on the cards)

Semi- Rose Park V NEK. This will be a massacre. NEK to win in the first
hour on day 2

Morialta will play PV, will go down to the last ball of the day.
Morialta's record against PV in finals is dismal
GF: NEK v PV

Mate where u get this crap from?

i seriously doubt this, shaun will never allow it !!

Can Paralowie still make the finals?

i believe we can but we dont desrerve to! up till christmas we didnt play a game with a full team at all our boys attiude was ' yeah yeah we'll just play after xmas win all of our games and make the finals thats how easy it is blah blah blah' well we lost 1 game to rain and 3 to hot weather so we really have no1 to blame but our selfs should we not make it which would be a shame as we have 3 or 4 of us that play to win and take our cricket seriously i just wish there was more of us in the side that had this attiude

Dutchy doing some ground work is he?

Would this plan involve players from another club within churches? Have heard a whisper along those lines, particularly a certain bowler.
Could be a strong Div 1 next year. I know we're looking to gain some ex-players back into the club for next year.

Speaking of next year, which team is most capable of coming up from Div 2 and being a solid performer?

well how could paralowie be a strong in div 1 next year, if there is a team coming up from div 2? doesnt the bottom team go down?

so what makes you think were going to finish bottom?

Well Carey, one good day in the field and your back on the forum quicker than your time in the bedroom! LOL

Interesting to look back though and see the predictions, the 1st being you losing, the 2nd maybe a forfeit, the 3rd finishing last..

If you win outright you will prove all three wrong, if you manage to finish 3rd, you will most probably play NEK and your record is impressive against them.

All of a sudden, attention could be right back on cricket down at roo park :P

hahaha thats gold phantom i'll pay that but the truth is me being back on the forum has nothing to do with our performance on the feild yesterday although i'm happy with it my laptop got some stupid virus and me being a lazy barsted didnt get it fixed for age's but back on to the cricket i aint saying to much at the moment as anything can happen in cricket mate hey rose park could still win outright and finsh 3rd that how close it is atm which IMO is great for churches cricket comp. but i think you'll find all the attention should be still with the NEK slappers and the PARA 'we dont get the $900 gov. money cause we all earn 100k plus a year' VISTA

im glad people are writing us off!!!

to be honest, we dont deserve to be in the 4...at least 3 people were not swictched on for such a crunch game. very dissapointing indeed from the roy boys....we do have the batting to get these runs, so we are not out just yet fellas!!

Top stuff by paralowie though. always knew they were a solid unit. good luck fellas....odds on favourite IF you get in. would be nice to see vista lose another GF :P

interesting point though......do paralowie be happy to stay in div 1 and try again next year, or risk losing to rose park in the second innings and finish last...and be relegated to div 2 ?????? Seriously...what are peoples thoughts ???? id like to think i was an aggresive skipper, but i would be wanting to stay in Div 1 more than anything? high risk, high reward, but a botemless pit if it doesnt go your way. Just a little something else to think about !!!!

gee....i hear some hot weather is due for sat :P lol....i wish!!

We will be playing this sat to win outright. It is up to rose park to make a score to put doubt in our mind. If we roll them cheaply we will go for the win if they make a score and bat all day, so be it. Make no mistake we are playing to win

Not sure if its mathematically possible for Paralowie to finish third? Could be wrong. Equally not sure why people dont give NEK a chance! From what i can see they have everything in place to go all the way.
We are definately a chance of making 280 with our batting line-up. Dont agree with your comments in bold BB.

You cant be serious can you BB?! What would be your frame of mind going into Saturday? Forget about next season, its all about going for the glory this weekend! You cant compromise your season based on the chance you may be relegated next season, your here to win flags and play finals, if that means you die by the sword so be it, im sure it wouldnt be long before Paralowie would return to the top.

My money is on the 'Roos to go outright and power on from here.. Vista & NEK should be watching their backs.. the sleeping giant is waking

If they win outright they are every chance of 3rd. If Fitzroy lose and Morialta lose it will happen.

I estimate that Morialta will need to score approx 70 runs more than Paralowie to hold onto 3rd spot, and fitzroy just needs to win for 3rd..

She's a beauty of a finish! :)

Amongst all the excitement of Div 1 i think perhaps people are neglecting to realise just how tight and exciting the other grades are panning out to be.

Div 2 and top spot is still up for grabs between AC Blues (Betania) and Western XI knights, Northern Wolves are coming home with a wet sail and are still a strong chance to make the 4 and Adel Lutheran can drop out of the 4 completely after sitting rosie in the top 2 earlier this year.

Div 3, Central Mission are top but Enfield chasing the outright against Fitzroy which would see them just about secure the minor flag, Brooky park need a win to make the four, and the winner form Eastside & Paralowie will decide 3rd and 4th spot

There would be no point in considering that as ladder positions are only used as a guide when working out divisions for next season.

dont doubt that at all mate. it will be up to rose park skipper to make a stupid decleration that will make things interesting. they can infact finish last if they do this!!

then again, bowl them out cheaply and get the runs and your done!

thats the most frustrating thing about this association. All i see/hear in rules/constitution are buzz words like "intent" , "guide", "should". Rediculous as this is open to interpretations of the exec at that time.

The exec do all they can, but toughen up fellas. Use words like "will", "must", "shall".....

Bottom team SHALL be relegated, top team SHALL come up, unless the team coming up opts not to.
