Think it would make more of a affect on a game if the batting side could nominate 5 overs in which the restrictions can take place?
I used to eat a lot of natural foods until I learned that most people die of natural causes.

I think the fielding restrictions are mostly in peoples heads, I mean generally you start the game with an aggressive field anyway, and i would be suprised if you have more than 5 fielders deep at any stage during an innings.

Seems people think because there are fielding restrictions they feel the need to try and beat them from the get go, when in reality the fields are probably identical to any other week.

Oval size and speed makes a difference to that I'd say.

Speaking of which, it was like it snowed on Friday night with our oval, I was going to bring it in a little to compensate for the slowness but then it becomes a bit too small, it's a bit over 60m all the way around but more like 95m if you hit it along the ground.
It probably gives us an advantage when we play away as we aren't used of getting value for shots. We've batted twice away and got 427 & theoretically 9/220 off 50 losing Shano retired hurt against Angle Vale hurt us in the mind, we were building a solid foundation and then lost two wickets in 7 balls after he went.

Yeah I dont enjoy playing on your ground. You cant really punch the ball into the gaps and beat the fielders for singles as the ball slows up big time.
