I really wouldn't want to see North Haven go down. After all the hard work some people at that club have put in and to see what it meant to them when they got into section 1 it just wouldn't be fair that they have to do that all over again. I hope if they go down their juniors stay with them and develop their A Grade into a very good side.

Haha jabber you fool!
We have a good relationship with NHCC and bloods in particular with Bazza, hence we hope they stay up as there a good club with good people!
Let's be honest though, at least we didn't actively pursue Christie by offering him coin and asking for meetings
with the skipper to be to talk about what's on offer! Money doesn't always talk when you are a stinking club! Even the life members at your club are looking at leaving, this true?
Brad has came to our club through mainly with his great friendship with Callum wright so he did the recruiting as such!

I would be disappointed if Morphys didn't give you a good send off :D ;) .

I got some good ones in my time - usually blokes laughing....
Thanks for the welcome - I've read with some interest for a while now - some good debates - and te occasional heated one as well - but it's all in good sport I guess.

You wouldn't look at recruiting a player like Brad with coin anyway, cos he hasn't done anything yet! He probably will for you guys though :D , he's stoked he's going to be playing with you CK.

Wanting to play A grade-No, because they think they are too old

Why do you think we've been close to relegation the last 2 years? Cos the better players at the club don't want play A grade and no one wants to played where they are picked.

Don't know of any life members that are leaving apart from WUB12 coz his mrs has taken a post in country south australia somewhere. Having said that, life membership is easier to get at plympton than anywhere i've ever seen before.

Unaware of any coin offered, and seeing as i was the prez the last 2 seasons i think i'd know.

So because you have a "good relationship" with them that makes it ok to take their players and still feel sorry for them does it?

Thats a bit harsh. I didn't offer to play A's as we had a young leggie needed to be developed and I would have taken overs away from him.
The only other 2 players playing B's that could play A's were in and out a lot because of work commitments. (I'm not including Ox in this)

As for players in our C's, I think there's only 1 player who could do OK (and by OK, i mean doing just OK). 55 wickets in Section 3 doesn't necessarily equal to wickets in Section 1. There's another players in C's that could do well in Section 1, but he has no commitment to any team he plays in and would be more of a liability than anything.

Thats why this new committee is dropping a side from 6 to 5 so there is more players to pick from and more competition for spots and therefore weed out the blokes that dont play were there picked.

Training in July!!!!!!!!!!! That is crazy.

We start as late as possible. Fathers day is always our first training session of the year.

Pottsy lives literally like 2 mins from Glenelg. He's wants to try district cricket again, and that club is the closest for him so it makes it the easiest choice. Not sure if he knows people there or not. He probably does, he knows everyone.

J. Quirk played U17 at Districts on Sundays and he loved turf so he's going to play Saturdays there. Damo said if he's going to play cricket, he'll play there, but I honestly think he won't play at all.

To be honest that is a good move because a club is always in trouble when players start dictating where they will and won't play.
