He tried to pull me into line many a time.

I reckon 92-93 was my last season of juniors for Elizabeth. Played in a good side that year - but didn't quite make the finals.
Craig Haines was in my side - I'm not sure if you'd know that name.

And yes, I remember Danny Shiell. Nice bloke. Still see him around every now and again (actually delivered me some furniture recently). Involved with Freeling now I think. He has a serious lack of teeth.

haha, shielsy teeth were going in his 20's...

hainsey, yeah, knew him very well altho he was a few years older i still played in a few of his games. poor bugga

Yeah was very sad.
I was working for The Bunyip at the time and was set to interview him that very day. I spoke to him the day before to make sure the i/v was all set. Then that happened. Horrible.

Was hard to believe, I was at the Jets that year and he had only just come back from England, was bowling in the same net with him the night before.

When things like that happen you try to make the most out of your life

Carey 18. Did you play for Croydon ? And if so why did they clear you or are you just another one of these players that sign with a new club without getting cleared ?

That's Ok Carey18. Just couldn't understand Croydon letting such a good player as yourself go. Thought you could have played at a lot higher level than Div 4 P.D.C.A.? Don't Croydon still play Div 3 and are sitting 2nd?

not about the grade you play
its bout having fun
can play at a high level but if you dont enjoy then whats the point!!!

i personally like playing with my mates iven if the comp is not that strong
still more fun than playing 120 overs for 2 days straight in my book

I actually did have a bloke try and fight me once in PDCA game.
He played for Para Hills. He had two swings at me and was dragged off by his team-mates before I realised it was serious.
Apparently the week before he'd pulled a stump on a guy at Salisbury West.
Funny thing was, I knew the bloke - we used to have drinks together in the uni bar at Magill.
White line.
