Well, a few upsets this week I see...
Coromandel beat Westminster
Glenelg beat Ramblers
Keswick beat Sheidow Park (not a big upset I guess)

Me thinks we'll continue to see more and more.

As wycbloods said, ICC are clear favourites at the moment.

I think Coromandel beating Westminster was the biggest upset although they did beat them last year as well.

really dissapointing result for the boys could of stayed in touch with the top half of the table with a few of the top teams losing. Really missing J Murphy, he did play but only as a batter and made 20 odd. Batters not performing atm. Still didnt dampen the mood last night at marion hotel, funny night.

The mood will always be good with Cue n Brew. I wish the Duck Inn in Coromandel Valley had a similar philosophy...

[quote="Amateur Footy"]Westminster Old Scholars v Coromandel
Western Youth Centre v ICC Sharks
Plympton Footballers v South Road
Glenelg ANA v Coromandel Ramblers
Keswick v Sheidow Park
North Haven v Mitchell Park
quote]

Based on who I tipped for this round i don't think it was full of upsets. I'm not surprised Coromandel and Keswick got up, tho I did go with Sheidow. We were the shock but I was concerned this would be the game Glenelg got their act together. Rowe and Basso had some luck but most who make a big score get that. Did as they pleased once they were set.

So the finals race has opened up again. Plympton and Keswick are a chance. Don't see any others making it. Looks like 5 teams fighting for 3 finals spots behind ICC.

In seniors Fordy made 62 and Sampson got 50 or so. Rusty made 43 in 28 balls we got 230. They chased it down 2 down and we were never in the hunt.

21's were in trouble batting first before Steve Cheeks better known as Sam Cheek made 62 and Ben Lowrey and Brad Christie put on 68 for the last wicket. Wickets were shared and they won by about the margin of that tenth wicket partnership. Cheeky was man of the match.

i hear that CK did alright with the gloves as well. I think matt king from wyc got 3/13 but not sure of other wicket takers.

Great effort by the u21s, especially the last wicket stand. Would have thought the runs in the seniors would have been enough, that's an impressive batting performance. What happened with the ball?

JB and me are not an item, TTJ Is the main man down at sheidow haha good bloke!!!
21s got churches next aswell as seniors, but 21s win that and first time ever they would have been undefeated in all 3 games....
21s i thought cookey bowled well, he is bowling really well atm (just ask him), but for me the standout bowler was kingy from our side, who did bowl wheels, was hitting the gloves rather hard took 3/13 of his 5 overs. cheeky batted extremely well as did ben lowrey, was good to see them fight it out and put in the hard yards!! We fielded well today, bar cheekys drop catch at fine leg, we had eeryone contribute the 21s are having a great time, i think everyone is enjoying it atm...great to see the young lads wana play for the association!!! and for the record, PARA's 21s did have 4 quick bowlers, unsure why they were not playing seniors...the bruise on my leg is a beauty already!!
seniors i guessed jsut struggled to bowl consistent from what i heard and saw from our oval, sarge would no more, but kurt bowled inconsistent, sambo bowled with great pace (went off injured, in doubt for next game so whoever got them is lucky, did his shoulder)...and TTJ yes big night for the lads, well home at 11 not that big but tonkesy was asleep at the table, kingy did do the phantom act and fordy currently on the way to the grand i think!
get on the 21s what a side..
PS: CoverKing took two catches keeping :D haha how unlucky for the batters that got caught behind

In a stroke of genuis we only spent 35 overs giving our opposition batting practice on Saturday afternoon.Waste of a friggin day and the confidence of some of our bowlers...

Hopefully we ran a couple into some form...

sheidow parks winning streak is over... keswick bowled really really well and rusty took advantage of some good early bowling taking 6... at one stage we were 1/115 all out 187 which us like most other teams suffer from 2 out all out with depth being an issue.. bit to work on this week and expect to bounce back strongly against plymton. maca should certainly be considered in the top 5 in the association only played 3 games but already on over 200 runs and taken about 8 wickets!

however talent and ability is not the issue for us... blokes are just out of form and struggling to work out their rolls! we'll be right!

i like that quoting yourself there JB didn't think of it earlier so just added it ha ha ha. I heard Brendan batted behind dingles which is a joke brendan is one of the top batsmen in the comp and should bat accordingly as should hopkins in the association side.
