Top game out at Uley road, and seriously the wrong team won. They were 3-94 and got bowled out for 125, you need to be winning them games.

But back to Billy, what happened mate? Did you just cost yourself an association birth??

to lose by 1 run against top teams is tough , hard to except those lost chances, last season, as the new boys, United needed 4 to win with 3 wickets in hand and lost by 2 runs to westies at westies, it burnt badly...

it is very unaustralian, might see some short games played, many will have a slash to finish up early.

Was a very tight game, hats off to Craigmore who really stepped up. Their fielding was for the most part of a high standard, believe only one catch went down and a missed stumping. Mike Richard bowled particularly well, ripping through our top order and was well supported through from the other end, the young spinner bowled a couple of good spells.

They gave themselves the best possible opportunity to win the game, and for the most part definately deserved to win, how ever to say the wrong team won is taking away from us a fraction - we aren't 2nd for no reason. I always thought if we could take steady wickets we were going to be a chance, our bowlers generally bowl in good areas and can be hard to get away with not too many loose balls, on top of that Jenner, Bedgegood & Harrison bowl off short runs and push through their overs quickly, so in the blink of an eye suddenly 10 or so overs are gone with limited runs and the pressure then goes back onto the batting side a fraction.

Possibly a lack of experience cost Craigmore in the end. Plenty of singles and twos on offer, and didn't need to try and hit big the way they did towards the end, but that happens and they will no doubt be better for the match.

Watching the way they go about their batting, i would imagine the two day stuff would be better suited to the blues, and think they will do enough to avoid relegation and be a very competitive unit in the coming years..

Froffies is more likely to just start signing autographs when they arrive - no need for introductions, im sure they know the legend that is McVeigh!

No doubting a loss like that would have hurt.... There are some positive attitudes around the club with the youth in the side and no doubt they will be buoyed by the fact they gave Rosies a fair push. Will they be disappointed? yes.... are there positive signs? yes.
