It sounds like AFL season with coaches saying they dont take the NAB cup seriously. Its still a game of cricket and no-one likes losing.

You can only beat the side you're put up against. We've decided to take the competition seriously, I don't think we're the only club that has. I also don't see a problem with that.
Big call to say "troubles a head" - it wasn't what you'd call normal cricket conditions. Average lighting (dusk made it pretty tough for both sides), white ball, very limited overs... I will admit it was far from convincing.
Both sides had to play in the conditions.

any club without a junior system is digging their own grave...look at waradale, 10 years ago we struggled to fill 2 teams now we have 12!bazza1 wrote:When you have more than half the side made up of E grade players, I would be more concerned if i was in the Ramblers camp only winning by a couple of wickets, troubles a head for them I think

You are never going to convince me it's equal conditions to be the team batting second under lights with a 'white' ball at North Haven either. While on the white ball topic - they are crap. Break up and change colour in no time.
I never go out to lose no matter whether it's saturday cricket or lawn bowls on a thursday night. Now that the team has that attitude we are finally starting to see some success.
How different your posts would have been if you had won.

I would argue that you are way off the mark by calling a T20 comp at Suburban hard wicket level any thing but Mickey Mouse....
How could any one take a comp seriously that lets clubs decide where and when they play, and you could win or lose the game through the toss of a coin!
