oh yeah plenty of rain floating around. Will be interesting if games are cancelled tomorrow how it will affect the ladders in each grade come the end of the season. How many sides will be ruing missed opportunities :(

Funny isnt it, it could really impact on a sides season especially teams who are only short of there targets.

Funnilly enough, if there is no play tomorrow EPFC has had the best of the weather results wise in our first two games. Could be the difference between playing finals or missing out.

Brahma C's playing at Gawler High School against Angle Vale with stuck down mats. At Least with the role outs you can put them out at the last minute. :(

If some Lodge games are washed out I would expect a few to turn up at bunnings to help out on the BBQ

Obviously no one can squeeze Papas in. ;)
There once was a bloke named Fracka,
Scored runs since he was a young tacka,
But alas not anymore,
his shot selection's been poor,
and now they call him QUACKA!!

B. Dowling for the Gardens is a good one, he has some real skill with the gloves and im interested to see how his stumping stats are at the end of the year. Keeps up to the stumps for most of their bowlers, maybe all except one. I believe its from keeping in indoor cricket, will definitely take some sides by surprise this year. Could do with a batting coach though

You can not pick blokes like Bailey, Richardson and Reeves, they have done nothing yet and couldn't be selected on last years form!

I think keep it simple, Blokes who have scored runs/taken wickets in the past 18 months have a chance, other than that make the new comers earn there stripes and don't give them games on reputation and speculation.

Mate...Darren Reeves would be the best cricketer in the comp even if he only plays half the games...

Probably the best keeper I've seen in the PDCA, yes, agreed with the batting comment, he's pretty hard to get out, he just doesn't score.

If we can get bailey to keep then i think its fair to say that he would take over the mantle of the best keeper

Best I seen was a bloke called Mick Brabyn for The Lodge (LM you should know) used to stand up to the stumps to the speedy R Laverty, which was scarey enough to bat against him let alone have a bloke in front of you with a bat and then take the ball

Lavo use to try and bounce him for four byes but could never get them passed him :D

Barry Dowling took 18 catches and got 13 stumpings last season, a fair return.

To tell you truth EM, I never played much against the Lodge in my day, infact, I've never played cricket on Brahma Lodge Oval. They were either in grade 1 when I was in 2 or vice versa, I only played two seasons in the 90's for Smithfield, 2 for the Gardens, a couple for district and a bit of ATCA.
