It will be interesting on how they will go. Advantage that it will be played on hard wicket against adelaide turf.

From memory, the only couple that i know have played 21s is Matt King from WYC, D. Quirk from NH and Brad Christie from NH.

Not sure who else is in the side tho but i assume a couple of the Sheidow boys would be in and have played before

Kevin B. is Kevin Brokensha, Ross' brother. Very very good batsmen. Bolsters our batting depth. Mind you, was only named in our C grade for this game. Must earn your stripes at Morphies first.
We are only playing WYC this week ;)

Looking forward to next Friday night v. Ramblers. Plan is to 1. Destroy the BBQ 2. Hit the Blackwood Footy Club bar hard & fast & 3. Sledge Real McCoy all night.

Sunday arvo in 41C.... stuff that. Good to have a hit on a weekend off cricket, but jeez who want's to come and watch in 41C, let alone play!! Can't see it cooling down much over the course of the game either.

I agree very good batsman and not a bad bowler also taken a number of wickets at brighton , but c grade well below his standards and if you are bolstering your batting depths wouldn't he be straight in the A's then this week , after going on what i have seen (Moe) :D :)

Our C grade line up is practically an A grade side anyway, well it used to be

A few of us Ramblers went and watched some of the A-grade district game between Sturt & Northern Jets.

Was pretty bloody impressed I have to say. They do everything so well, particularly the basics. What kind of surprised me was how young everyone was. Apparently the oldest Sturt player was just 27. I thought there might be more early 30s "experienced" guys still around. The Jets appeared to be the same.

Didn't envy them being out there though, bloody hell it was hot just watching.

All Morphy Park people seem to have an opinion on this one. The sides chosen for last Saturday were never a chance to play & were slected just for selections sake.
I am sure the make up of sides will change dramatically this week. With roughly 58 players available for 44 spots, i think that training & paying subs, rather than reputations, should be of more importance come selection time.
On another note, congrats to Wilkey & Wilson who cleaned us all up in Poker yesterday. Don't think i saw you there Tugga, i was hoping you could enlighten me on how i seem to have offended you so much!

If Ferguson is still wicket keeper, I am wondering how old he is.
Is he a relation to John "Keg" Ferguson whose 3 sons represented Sturt so well over the years, because if it is one of his boys, surely he is over 30.

I'm pretty sure Ferguson played his last game before Christmas and has now gone to England with his other half and will be playing in one of the leagues over there
